I thought this week's episode was very reminiscent of the Swimming In Oblivion episodes of 'Sealab 2021' and was the best of the season. This can only be amazing.

Try it like this:

"What is this, the 1880's?"
"What is this, Jersey?"
"What is this, Jersey... in the 1880's?"

It's a slam, followed by a slam, followed by a double slam referencing the two previous jokes. That's it, unless you want to make a convoluted reference to the Spanish Civil War.

I think he's just asking if it refers to anything specific about the 30's, or about Spain. I assumed it was non sequitur.

That's part of the genius of this show ... you never know what is actually non-sequitur and what is a deeply veiled obscure reference (Gilles de Rais).

I like when they wanted to call in the rescue copter - "Say 2 Americans down, I mean 2 Republicans down."

Just realized that FX is airing this season out of order. Ms. Archer killing the tech was referenced several episodes ago but didn't happen until last night.

Makes sense. It seemed odd we had two "Archer at death's door" episodes in a row.

Is the "Dom" reference from Fandango, or was that something Fandango was referencing?

For those who need to catch up ... Season 3 is now available via streaming on Netflix. (I realized today that I had not watched S3!)

I was just watching a rebroadcast and the bearded border patrol agent sounded familiar. I eventually picked it out as Art Mullen. Sure enough, I watched the credits and the last name listed was Nick Searcy. But rather than celebrating, I was more flabbergasted by the first name in the credits... Dayton Callie.

Did anyone else hear Sheriff Unser's voice? Now I'm waiting for them to re-air it again so I can try to catch it.

I did hear his voice but I can't remember who it was now.

EDIT: Just watched it again. He's the Doctor who worked on Archer's gunshot wounds.
