Re: Archer -- Season 4 Thread -- Thursdays (FX)

I don't get the relevance of the title of this episode, "The Wind Cries Mary". I know it's a Jimi Hendrix song, but I don't know how it relates to the episode. I know someone's gonna make me feel stupid when they point it out for me.

"Grover Cleveland called. He wants his watch back. He left two non-consecutive messages."

"Mary" is a somewhat old-fashioned slang term for a gay man.

Funniest episode yet! The guy behind the glass (at the weapons depot) looked like Hitler for some reason. I wonder if that was on purpose?

I didn't catch the last part of that line until reading it here - but that's great

As a Frisky Dingo fan, I loved the Mr. Ford cameo in this ep.

This might have been the LOL of the episode for me.

I was expecting last night to be the end of Ron Cadillac, but I'm glad it's not. He's a great foil for Malory.

I thought it was another excellent episode. I can't think of a bad episode of this show.

Re: Archer -- Season 4 Thread -- Thursdays (FX)

I loved Seasons 1 & 2, but must have been off-planet for Season 3. This year's burning a hole in my DVR--should I dive in or seek out S3 first? Also, is it my imagination from the promos, or have they given up the "SuperSpies at the Office" focus in favor of "Adventures in the Field"?

Seek out season3 first, then dive in!

It's always been, and still is, a mix of the two.

That whole intro scene before the opening credits was great.

I laughed out loud multiple times so I don't know where the weak episode stuff comes from. Lana getting her whole future laid out for her and leaving her speechless was great.

Re: Archer -- Season 4 Thread -- Thursdays (FX)

The episode had a great premise with Archer's problem, but I don't think they did much with its comedic potential.

Very funny. Lorne Greene -- Bonanza or Battlestar?
