I'm more impressed with the full list than I thought. Nice to see a couple Fawlty Towers episodes in there; may have missed it but should have at least one Police Squad.

It does seem light on 60s fare, but the author makes pretty clear he chalks the love of a lot of that stuff to baby boomer nostalgia (odd that I'm not a boomer and love a lot of it).

It's a lot harder for me to slam him for the lack of really amazing episodes from very short lived shows. For instance, Stark Raving Mad was brilliant, and I recall one episode in particular as being fucking fantastic. I think it was Four Colds and a Funeral. The problem is that all too many short-lived shows have been just about completely forgotten and you'd need a superhuman level of knowledge to be able to include them all.

When I saw the title, this is the first episode I thought of. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

I think lack of Car 54 is a major oversight as well. Especially with so many Seinfeld episodes. Car 54 is a HUGE influence on that show.

I think that the Scrubs episode where Dr. Cox's friend (played by Brendan Frasier)
Spoiler:
dies
is the best of that show and one of the best of all time.

I'd take this list a bit more seriously if it included at least one episode of Entourage.

I think the only reason we got any sort of Scrubs is that the musical episode was the best such one to put on a list. In fairness, Scrubs bent over into drama more than virtually any sitcom I can think of (even MASH because MASH had its funny years and its serious years). There are probably episodes of Gilmore Girls that count more as a comedy than episodes of Scrubs.
