McCartney and Short? Sounds like must see TV for the old folks homes.

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
Yeah, thus I will watch. ;) Hope we see some Ed Grimley. Or better yet the return of Nathan Thurm - my favorite SNL character ever.

I'll take Martin Short over Jeremy Renner.

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
Did anybody else see McCartney with Nirvana at the 12.12.12 concert? The man can still bring it.

Be cool if he did the new song. Have to admit he sounded pretty good.

Sad that the choir opening was the best snl moment all season.

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
No opening skit?
Writers are clearly on their game. |

I guess, but it's SNL. I think if people are watching it, they're expecting it to be funny.
Not sad/somber/etc. |
Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
Samuel L. Jackson just said "fuck" and "shit" within seconds of each other on "What's Up With That".

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
Loved Keenan's reply: come on, that costs us money.
|
Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
I didn't hear shit but def heard fuck.
|
Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney

Keenan: Well, we out of time. I want to thank my guest, the incredible Samuel L. Jackson. SLJ: Man, FUCK. Keenan: HEY! Also....come on Sam. SLJ: That's some bullshit! Keenan: Come on now, that cost money! |

^rotfl^
Haven't watched this yet; it's on my DVR. Heard Nirvana (or at least Grohl, Novo, and Smear) was playing with Paul McCartney tonight so I won't FF past the musical guest. |
Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
West coast had "Fuck" muted, but I definitely heard "This is bullshit." Apparently the censors were too focused one the one word that they missed the other.

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
The next new episode is on Jan 19 with Jennifer Lawrence.
Usually they return during the first weekend of the NFL playoffs around Jan 5. Do you they have a best of show or preempted by WWE wrestling as a reason for that long wait? |
Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
Outside of Sam's expletives , that was horrible

Re: SNL - 12/15/12 - H: Martin Short - MG: Sir Paul McCartney
On Twitter, he said that it was supposed to be cut off, but it wasn't.

Yeah, I thought there was an uncomfortable gap between the children singing and Martin Short coming out acting wacky...he should have just came out, said something about the tragedy, said we're going to try and have a few laughs tonight that we hope you'll enjoy, went to commercial, and THEN went on with the show. It was just weird watching those kids singing and then jumping into Short's wacky antics. Maybe it was just me. |
