is S2 of Homeland better than S1?

In terms of homeland I think both seasons have been terrific, with S1 a little more plausible and realistic than S2. S2 is like a smarter 24 to me

Lol.. that is the most ridiculous description of Breaking Bad ever. American Ido reruns are coming on soon.

Well, at least some of the main characters in Game Of Thrones are good guys. The two main characters of Breaking Bad are worthless tools.

No, you're NOT done. I didn't say that no one had ever heard of Homeland. I said that I had never heard of it. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's good. It just means that a lot of people like it. We already talked about this. Awards, at least most awards, aren't voted on by the majority of the viewing public. They're voted on by a committee of people that have been there for years and years and, most of the time, are out of touch with people actually like. Of course, every now and then, their views line up with the public's views.

I was ready to be offended by the servicemen angle. All set to concern-troll on it. But it never happened. I was more offended by Last Resort, oddly enough.
Edit: But back to the comparative seasons. I'm hearing, and I agree, that S2 has sacrificed some characterization and plausibility for increased action and plot twists. For some that would make it a better season, for some a worse. And I'll heshup after repeating for me it's still good as evah.

Spoiler:
Season 2 is turning into 24.

I'm really enjoying season 2, but it definitely feels like it is getting '24-ized' a bit. Don't get me wrong... I like 24. It's just that the twists and turns of Homeland season 1 always felt natural and true to the story, while the big events in season 2 sometimes come off a bit telegraphed, as if they programmed in an exciting moment.

Seriously though, did you like The Godfather or The Sopranos? Do you like Dexter, or any vampire shows? How about film noir? Is everyone on every show you've liked a moral, upstanding hero?
The moral compass of the main character is a weak reason to like or write off a show. That said, I can understand someone being too touchy about terrorism or the military to tolerate Homeland or too touchy about drugs/crime to tolerate Breaking Bad. Their loss.

I have never said that I don't have Showtime. I just have never heard of the show other than the commercial where the characters from the show are in some guy's kitchen and the guy mentions that he's about to watch an all day marathon On Demand.

I don't like nor dislike Dexter. It just doesn't interest me. And vampire shows....most newer vampire shows don't bring anything new to the mythos of vampires. They're basically just supernatural 90210. The last good and interesting vampire show was Forever Knight. Along with the standard vampire stuff, it had different species of vampire such as Carouche, who drink only from animals. The new shows are just more slightly interesting versions of Twilight. I LOVE film noir. Of course not every character on every show I've liked was a moral, upstanding hero. But I just can't stand shows where MOST of the people are douchebags and criminals.

They're both great, but S2 is a slight dropoff from S1 IMO.

What's wrong with inspiring shows ? And I don't hate every good show on tv. Just the really overrated, unoriginal ones. Dragon Tattoo, as I've said before, just because you like a show doesn't make it good. I like the 90s Fantastic Four cartoon. But is it a good show ? Hell, no. It has flaws all over the place. But it's entertaining. I also like Dark Shadows. But is it a good show ? Again, hell no. It, too, has multiple flaws. But it's fun to watch.
