Now, she's gotten the most action among the entire group. Banging Shane last season and now the Gov. |

That's a bit harsh, don't you think? She was pulling her weight, lets face it, until she got to Woodbury. She was sick and starving and now she's living in a practical paradise, I sort of can't blame her for relaxing a bit.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
I assume that at some point, Andrea will find out exactly how fucked up the Governor/Woodbury really is. At that time, her decisions/reactions will determine how I feel about her. Right now, we (the audience) have way more info than she does. It's hard to judge her too harshly. Except for her terrible taste in men. ;)

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
Doesn't everyone know an Andrea in real life?
Unfortunately, in real life, Andrea's don't get killed by zombies. They just go on living, as horrible people. |

Plus from what we've seen Michonne also carried her like so much dead weight after saving her life. Which Andrea repaid by ditching her as soon as she found a new sugar daddy.

if I thought I could die any day from a zombie attack, I'd be trying to fuck as many (not dead) women as possible.

You know, why is it a convention of zombie stories that no one has ever heard of the damn things?
That said, a lot of zombie stories are specifically zombie apocalypse stories. The zombie menace is presented as something that spreads fairly quickly and destroys civilization. Other monster stories (vampires, werewolves, etc.) only involve a small portion of people, and the disease isn't spread easily. Vampires either have to deliberately sire offspring, or may take moves to contain their own population. Werewolf stories almost always involve a singular person being attacked, and there's a 28 day period immediately after where they aren't transformed (and can't spread the infection). Werewolf infection is also seen as rare, a side effect of surviving an attack that typically isn't meant to be survivable. So for those stories, it's more understandable of isolated incidents happening in the past that the heroes could know about, if not believe. Also, since vampires and werewolves are still partially human, in that they retain human intelligence and can pass as human some times, it's more plausible that they can hide in the world, only surfacing occasionally. A zombie is a mindless killer. It's not going to lie low for a while after the last zombie attack before starting up again. The only thing that could stop a previous zombie attack, without killing all the zombies, would be some sort of geographical isolation. Finally, other monsters are much, much older. Stories exist from folklore even before being written down and expanded on in fiction. In contrast, the modern zombie is a fairly new creation, pretty much originating with Romero (although the original Night of the Living Dead doesn't use the term zombie). There's not the history there that makes the idea of the original folklore being true plausible. With zombies, it's pretty much known that they're a fictional creation. |

Guess I'm one of the few who likes Andrea... of course I have the hots for Laurie Holden

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
I don't have a problem with the way Andrea, Michonne, OR Lori are portrayed on the show and like their characters. And yes, I have read the comics

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
Andrea is getting on my nerves... Don't mind Michonne too much. Lori was annoying in season 2 but not bad this season, prior to her death.

Two BIG items in casting news: Spoiling for those who want to be surprised:
Spoiler:
I went A & B for those who wanna to comment specifically, but we can do it in code as to not piss people off. |

I also question the decision to make The Governor so genteel on the show. Just because you have a charming British actor, you don't have to completely alter the character just to accommodate that quality and get Andrea laid. Yeah, maybe introducing him like they did in the comic would have been a bit too extreme for basic cable, but c'mon. So far, he's just an unhinged fool lording over some naive extras.

I think Lauren Cohan is real good looking too. Even more so when shes all grunged up on this. |
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
This season is just about perfect so far IMO. Daryl and Carol are my two favorite characters and really the only two whose fate I care about.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
I dislike the actress playing Michonne so much, I find myself rooting for Merle and the Governor.
Lori's character was annoying, but the actress playing her was fine. Michonne is a cool character, but has a horrible actress playing her. I'm hoping they either find a way to re-cast or just surprise us and kill her off. |
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
She's a good actress just has been given much to work with so far

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
I don't have a problem with Andrea. She's been on the run for a long time and likes the safety that Woodbury provides. She also likes the Governor because he is charming and for her, he's a project. How many times do you see women go after the complicated boy or the bad boy to try to change them? She thinks she can influence him. She's a bit naive, but she's been that way throughout the series. I think her character has been fairly consistent.
Michonne annoyed me a lot (with the constant forced scowling), but I think there's some hope for her. The ending scene at the prison fence with Rick was definitely a departure from how she was portrayed previously in the series. I've heard there as a lot more story with Rick and the telephone in the comics, but I don't see how the TV series could drag that out through multiple episodes. I think they'd lose the audience after a while. What they covered was enough in my opinion. And no I haven't read the comics. |

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Hounded" -- 11/18/12
If they carried the Rick-talking-on-the-telephone thing for more than one episode, it would have become something people would make fun of, like "Has anybody seen Carl?"
