Episode 7 of 13
Supposedly this is the make it or break it week for Last Resort. If the ratings are good, it may get additional episodes or possibly a full season.

SEALs are no doubt badass, but what is with this myth that a SEAL can automatically beat up anyone anytime?

According to Deadline.com, Last Resort is cancelled.
Edit: The post from Deadline was deleted. Maybe they announced it too early.

It's official cancelled according to Variety and EW.com. Abc will burn off the remaining episodes.
I wonder how far they are in filming. Maybe Shawn Ryan and his writers can wrap it up by episode 13.

Bummer. Oh well. This year's new dramas (outside of Arrow) have been extremely disappointing.

Scandal being renewed was nothing short of a miracle. Unfortunately it's not as good this year.

For those of you who aren't aware. Shawn Ryan's next project is Beverly Hills Cop for CBS. He is writing the script and will be show runner if they green light it to series. It's being developed for next fall.

Shawn Ryan just confirmed the news on Twitter. They are still filming. He said..."we're going to give you a no holds barred kick ass ending."
Sounds like they can give the show a reasonable conclusion.

Well, if there's one good thing about him, he really does want to wrap stuff up for the fans.

That's awesome, particularly since I saw this as more of a miniseries.
And
at BHC being a CBS show. What a waste. That should be a cable show. Axel Foley in a CBS no-cussing world.

I'm really disappointed in Shawn Ryan here. We all wondered how they would turn this into a full show. Turns out he didnt know, either. I'm getting real sick of these shows that have an interesting hook for a pilot but go absolutely nowhere.

so they catch the thug guy off guard with an overwhelming force at the beginning of the episode and all they do is search his place?
he's been a constant problem, killed at least one of their people, and they don't take advantage of having the drop on him to eliminate him for good?

How the hell do you know that? They are canceling the show based on ratings, not on the quality of the show. He may have had several years mapped out, but we'll never know..

Sad show is ending, but hopefully they have a good finale. If the show was gonna continue, I really felt that the sub commander was gonna become like Marlon Brando in "Apocalypse Now."

I don't at all get the contingent of people who thought this was the next LOST or something. It was what it was, and I'm satisfied with what we have gotten so far.

if you're referring to the ability to stay on the air for 6 seasons or whatever, then yes, i agree. The premise does not seem to lend itself to multiple seasons.
