Another very solid episode, though Watson already revealing Sherlock's drug usage to the police seems a bit too early in the series. It's going to be very interesting to see how they develop the Watson/Sherlock dynamic if the showrunners won't allow them to have a romance.

I'm glad it was confirmed what I figured all along, that Gregson was already aware of Holmes' drug problems. In this day of easily obtained information it didn't make sense for the NYPD to hire Holmes as a consultant without a background check.

I really like this show a lot. I went to high school with Luke Kirby who played Lucy Liu's love interest in this episode.

Finally caught up with the show the past few nights between my dvr and on demand. I consider the show similar to the mentalist. Not must see tv, but entertaining enough to watch now and then.
For that feel like an idiot moment...I had rented Dark Shadows, so I was watching it tonight. I knew the brother looked familiar with the weird jaw, but couldn't figure it out. Then an hour later, I'm watching tonight's episode of Elementary and immediately had that duh! moment. You'd think that after watching a bunch of episodes lately, I would have been better at knowing who was playing the brother. Ugh. At least I recognized Kelly Leak right away. :P

I like johnny lee miller. I loved Eli stone. I do enjoy his character on here and don't mind lucy liu. I'm not a huge fan of procedural shows. As Raising Hope pointed out just choose the guest star, he's the killer. that being said literally within 2 seconds of seeing the janitor (the guy from breaking bad and damages) i knew he was going to be the killer. Didn't guess the oops the doctor made. Out of all the mentalist type shows Lie to me was my favorite. RIP

This is the only episode of this series that I have watched and I knew the second they showed the janitor and had "Sherlock" make a comment to him he would be the killer. Too predictable for me. Won't watch it again.

I have been enjoying this show. I tired of the Mentalist last season, or more specifically, I tired of the never-ending Red John arc, and Elementary is a great replacement. It was clever making Watson a woman this time - neat twist on the formula.

Elementary is getting the coveted Post-Super Bowl timeslot. Should get some huge, yet inflated ratings. I personally don't like the choice. Would have rather seen a kickass male-themed action show like Person of Interest get the timeslot.

Yeah, as soon as we saw a semi-famous TV actor in the supposedly non-role of janitor, it was kind of obvious he would turn out to be the killer. That's nothing new. Still fun though, and I think it's got a full season renewal.

If you missed this news, Elementary will get the post-Super Bowl timeslot in February.

Love this show. There doesn't seem much about it which stirs conversation though. This episode was fun. Let's hope it get's picked up for next year!

I am happy they modeled this Sherlock after the current BBC version instead of the Robert Downey Jr. movies. Lucy Liu makes for a good foil to Sherlock's personality.

Re: Elementary -- Thursdays (CBS)
I have always expected Castle to be a popular show, and Elementary less so. If wikipedia's numbers are right, however, viewship is roughly equal for the two, fluctuating in the ">10, <11" million viewer range.
