I don't watch the show, but this shocks me all the same... was he that good of a cohost when they were rotating people post Regis?

I saw him when he was on and it might seem like an odd choice, but he works well with Kelly Ripa.

Not really. He works well with Kelly and has a lot of personality. If Strahan did get the job, he should do well.

It seemed obvious it was going to be Strahan since the final three rumoured in the last couple of months was Strahan, Seth Meyers, and Josh Groban, and both Meyers and Groban said that they didn't want the gig full time.
