I suspect A&E wanted to downplay his death for fear it would hurt ongoing ratings. This is the type of reality show built for casual viewers and Roy was a draw.

So no Chris & Robbie and no Roy is making this show pretty hard to watch.

The new people are either dull or annoying (Dusty).

I guess it was fun while it lasted.

Dusty is seriously the worst personality they've ever had on the show. He's worse than that wooden couple from the first season. I know they're trying to replace the Roy personality with him but Roy knew exactly what he was doing...so you put up with his attitude. Dusty just comes off as a whiny brat.

And honestly, I have to admit that I like Todd & Tamara alot more than I thought I would. They're both very likable. Same thing with Jessica....for the three shipments she got during the season.

And Chris and Robbie will be back next season. I follow her on Instragram and she's stated that they were as confused as anyone because they shot tons of shipments.

That is great they are coming back, maybe I will tune in next season then. They were a perfect mix for the show, it's odd that they even considered not having on there this year.

Todd & Tamara are very likeable. They are also kind of boring though.

And please get rid of Dusty. Please. Bye.

New season started. Same old crew. Unfortunately Robbie is gone (she's also pregnant and ready to pop, she posted pics on Twitter). It's the same old shticks. Jarred is still portrayed as a clueless newbie and the others aren't much better. After all the seasons most of the cast are still passed off as inept. Even the Hoffmans got their shit together after a few seasons on "Gold Rush."

This is coming back on November 30th. It won't be the same without Roy and the original crew.

Just an annoying cast, corny drama, and a slightly new format for scoring the bids. Maybe it'll get better over time, but it seems like I wasn't alone in my dislike for this cast, as Twitter was buzzing afterwards, and it wasn't pretty.
