Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Of course they'd keep Roy, his jobs are fanntastic when he starts getting pissy with the customers... Of course Jennifer and Robbie are on there for eye candy... Jared is just a fuck up so his jobs make for good tv viewing too...

Jarrett's new van made me rotfl

And him letting the monkeys out was even more rotfl

Traxan 06-12-13 08:26 PM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

It's not a van. It's a short bus. Perfect for him.

I know it was all set up, but Jarrett with the monkeys running around had me

Yeah, those monkeys were money.

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

That conversation between Roy and Jen on the phone was horribly scripted. Like they weren't even talking with each other. Plus, the forcing of them together was so staged. Terrible. I still enjoy the show, though.

Roy's comment about "why would I lower my standards" was classic, though.

So is that Johnny guy a new addition to the show permanently?

Can't wait to see the Jared/Roy team up this week. C'mon Roy, drive him out of the business!

Deftones 06-27-13 09:17 AM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Another stupid team up. I hate that crap, although it was moderately funny to see Jarrett get crushed by Roy.

Also, as someone who has been married, but didn't have a Bridezilla, I can empathize with Chris. Weddings are stressful. Purposely inserting yourself into that situation is never a good idea.

So it does look like Johnny is going to be a regular member now.

Best part was Robbie doing the commentary with the popcorn and 3-D glasses when Jen was going on the Bigfoot hunt.

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Jarrett putting is broken down van on Uship as a tractor was fucking hilarious. About one of the only times one of these contrived situations was hilarious. Him choosing Chris and Robbie was fantastic.

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

This season's plan. Have Jarrett do at least one run with everyone so they can all see how stupid he really is.

All we have left is Jen after next week.

resinrats 07-10-13 10:51 AM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Wonder if Jarrett really is a shipper or an actor Shipping Wars hired for comic relief. Can't remember if there has been a single load Jarrett has shipped that didn't have some sort of screw up. Being on this show will really scare any customers away. I wouldn't hire him after seeing it. If he is a shipper, once the show is over, so is his career.

Traxan 07-10-13 12:08 PM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Are those two blondes (obviously hired for the show) replacing Jarrett? Or are they being added? The cast is already getting big.

I actually like this show. Its seems like a lot is of course staged, but kinda more interesting than most of this kind of stuff. Plus Jen is smoking hot.

Jeez, what strip club did they find these two blondes in?

this is an insult to strippers everywhere.

I know that the thing with Marc and Jarett is all setup, but Marc seemed genuine with offering him advice on how to be a better shipper.

Traxan 07-24-13 12:06 PM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Anyone catch it last night? They added a black couple to the mix. This should be interesting given how badly they trash talk each other on that show. BTW, the guy is an ex-boxer. He never got very far but he better know his trash talk.

This last episode with Roy dealing with the art idiot with that sculpture was fucking hilarious. Even better was Marc dressing up like a hippie. rotfl

As much as a like some of the eye candy on the show, I enjoy Roy's jobs the most... him dealing with them artists was pure gold

Traxan 12-14-13 04:54 PM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

I finally caught it. Roy is absolutely hilarious. He reminds me of those old school heel commentators on the WWF, like Jesse Ventura and Bobby Heenan.

Giving Jen those bugs was a pretty stupid idea. :)

Traxan 12-17-13 09:22 PM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

If Jarrett really took that turn too hard and sent the pumpkin flying, he needs to be fired.

If that was contrived, then all I got to say is I hope Jarrett has a new job lined up when the show ends because no one will ever take him seriously as a competent shipper.

And is it me or are Chris and Robbie's accents getting more pronounced?

Jen preggo... imagine what her boobs are going to look like a trimester from now.

Tom Creo 12-18-13 08:39 AM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

I don't know. Roy irratates the shit outta me now. Don't know why anybody would give money to that prick if ya can't even extend a friendly welcome.

Uncle Steve was not great tv. Lol

Just watched the Star Trek/Pumpkin episode. If i was the guy dealing with Chris and he would have said that shit after destroying the crate i would have said no problem, i am not paying you a cent right now and watch me as i call my lawyer and see what my legal standing is. Chris is a douchebag and that customer rolled over way too easy.

lewisb73 12-18-13 10:08 AM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

There always HAS so be some sort of drama with EVERY shipment... some of the deliveries I look at and wonder how the shippers could be late on a 1000 mile journey that they were given three days or so to complete for instance... so much is staged... Jarrett's incompetence makes for more riveting television as does Roy's temper... I do roll my eyes at some of the stuff but for me it is decent mindless tv to unwind to

I had not caught the part of the show where Jen first revealed she was pregnant, so when I saw her I was wondering where the extra weight had come from.

It was a friggin crate! I thought he was being way too big a bitch over it. Chris should have just knocked $20 off the price and told him "Home Depot is that way."

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Roy is a prick, but he's an entertaining prick. I agree that Chris got way too worked up over that stupid crate thing. Give him $100 discount so he can replace it and get the fuck out.

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Twice now this season, I yelled 'Jarrett ' at the screen. First when he tore that popcorn ball in half and second when the pumpkin fell off the truck. He has to be a plant by the producers. The show is in its fifth season & he is still a royal screwup. A real shipper would have learned the ropes by now. I'd hope. But they keep him there for the entertainment he ads to the show for screwing up somehow on every load. Show wouldn't be as fun if every one of them were top professionals.

I think its about time Mark won a load. I don't think he's had one this seaon yet (in the eps I've seen)

It was barely mentioned by her during the most recent episode and easily missed, but it seems that Jen is pregnant.

Boy oh boy Roy was a dick today.

And poor Mark, stuck in between a par of warring exes. That guy had the most brutal putdown. "I had more fun in that hot tub in 10 minutes than I had in 10 years with you." BUUUURRRRNNNNN!

Woah, from the last new episodes to these one, Jenn got fucking huge!

rotfl the guy with the safe with the "alien implant."

I turned on the CC to see what Roy was saying in that bleeped out comment. It was all bleeped. I wanna know what he said.

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Damn Jen is getting plump to say the least. Her face is now the spitting image of the Pumpkin that Jarret was transporting not so long ago. She has actually started annoying me on the show now. She wobbles her head on the talking head sections and she just seems lazy and pretty dull. I guess this is a classic case of when the looks go away there truly is nothing there to keep the interest. Next...

Tom Creo 01-09-14 08:46 AM

Re: Official Shipping Wars discussion thread

Ya know, her face did look like registered sex offender Wendell.
