Hopefully they give him something substantial to do, but that's probably asking for too much

Robin is on the way in November as well! For Pete's sake, I hope and pray she spills the beans about Jake's (Jason's) identity! It is hard to believe they have dragged this story line out for an entire year now!

Edit: Brandon Barash returns to General Hospital as Johnny Zacchara, officially returning to the show in early December.

Bring back Sebastian Roche' as Jerry Jacks and I will be one happy camper. I know he's been getting a lot of mainstream/primetime work lately (and good for him), but damn, I love that character.

Jax or Alcazar coming back would be nice too (while ditching Franco, Nina, Sabrina, Ava and a few others). Cast is a bit big at the moment.

It's just a short visit...a few weeks at most. He's not leaving Y&R.

I'm hoping this means Anders Hove is coming back for a short stint too.

General Hospital Fave Jason Thompson Joins The Young and the Restless.

As seemingly dozens of General Hospital alumni before him have done, Jason Thompson will resurface on rival soap The Young and the Restless.

Thompson, who last month wrapped his run on ABC’s sole surviving sudser as Patrick Drake, will take over the revolving-door role of Billy Abbott on CBS’ long-running serial, EW reports. There, he will be reunited with former GH boss Jill Farren Phelps.

Thompson is expected to first air in January 2016, succeeding Burgess Jenkins (who debuted as Billy in June 2014).

The role of Billy Abbott has served as Emmy fodder for two of its previous portrayers: David Tom and, more recently, Billy Miller (who exited the role to… join GH, as a Jason recast). Thompson amassed five Daytime Emmy nods during his GH run.

General Hospital's Tyler Christopher Replaced as Nikolas by Nick Stabile.

Tyler Christopher has been temporarily replaced as General Hospital‘s dark prince, Nikolas Cassadine, by daytime TV vet Nick Stabile, TVLine has confirmed.

A spokesperson for ABC’s one remaining soap could neither say how long the recast would be playing Hayden’s husband nor when the big switch would take place on air. Christopher, who recently won his first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, originated the role of Laura Spencer’s firstborn son back in 1996. He was replaced once before during his long GH run in the early 2000s, when The Closer‘s Stephen Martines — then known as Coltin Scott — took over.

Stabile, who played Mark Wolper on Aaron Spelling’s Sunset Beach in the late 1990s and Dean Hartman on Days of Our Lives in 2009, is no stranger to recasts. He previously stepped in as Passions‘ Fox Crane in 2004 while Justin Hartley (now Adam, The Young and the Restless) was on paternity leave. Stabile’s other credits include Dawson’s Creek, Charmed and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Daytime Confidential broke the story that Christopher was taking time off during contract negotiations.

I wish Burton wasn't coming back. I like Billy Miller's Jason Morgan much better than the dry, dab Jason that Burton portrayed.

Well Ingo Rademacher isn't doing himself any favors lately with his Covid/vaccine viewpoints. Always liked the Jax character but he hasn't had much to do the last few months.

I haven’t seen anything about it. Do you have a specific link.

Im surprised they would keep anyone on that won’t get vaxxed.

I have the last 40 row on the dvr.
we do a binge and watch a ton over a couple weeks then it builds up again.

I noticed that Damon Stuart was mentioned in Memoriam in a recent episode.
Apparently he passed away in June.

Yup, sad. R.I.P.

Wasn't a fan when they killed off Alan Quartermaine during the hostage crisis, though I loved that storyline and it gave us the best villain in Jerry Jacks.

There was no reason to kill off Allan in that storyline. The Q's were the family in PC and the show hasn't been the same since. This whole "Mike" storyline is beyond stupid. You mean to tell me if the biggest mobster on the East Coast went "missing", yet showed up in another town not that far away from PC, that none of the townsfolk would recognize him?

And I won't even get started on the Carley and Jason getting married bullcrap. Their kiss the other day looked as as award as two 12 year old cousins trying to kiss for the first time.

Re: The GENERAL HOSPITAL Discussion Thread

I’m 20 shows behind but what I’ve seen of the Carly/ Jason marriage is as dumb as anything they’ve done on this show.
That and the Sonny stuff are right at the top.

As of what I’ve seen only Jax called them out on the sham marriage and everyone else in the entire town is like, “Hey good for you too. It’s about time. Etc.”

Everyone in Port Charles and now wherever Sonny is are the dumbest people on the planet.

Hahaha. Love these exits. I wonder what religious beliefs they tried to crap out to get excused. Imagine going from a paying gig with medical benefits to nothing.

I met Steve Burton before and he was the nicest celebrity that I have ever met. I hate to hear that he's anti-vax.
