Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Four years ago, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) helped a woman named Nora (guest star Nicole Oliver) exorcise a demon that was systematically killing women in a small town. They managed to save the postal worker, Jeffrey (guest star Russell Sams), while vanquishing the demon but now it seems the black-eyed monster has reared his ugly head and returned for a second helping. The brothers visit Jeffrey, who has been locked in a psych ward since the incident, to see if he can remember any of the demon's plans while he was possessed. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (#715).

Dean's Voicemail:

"Leave your name, number and nightmare after the tone"

Cool episode last night. It was mixed mythology and standalone. Enjoyed seeing Pelligrino back as Satan. I loved how he kept pestering Sam and Sam tried so hard to ignore him.

Interesting that the possessed guy developed sort of a Stockholm syndrome and started to enjoy killing people.

What was the significance of the end? Has the Satan figure in Sam's subconscious taken control of him?

Another good episode. Another episode without Leviathans. (Hmmm, seems to be a pattern there.)

Even though I figured out the twist early on in the episode, it was an interesting development in the show's mythology that someone who was once possessed might like it better than his or her own life and want to be repossessed (repo-ed) again.

One plot point that bugged me, though, was that Dean would go off to some dangerous hidden place without first at least giving Sam a quick call to tell him where he's going.

I liked the episode but the one thing that bothered me was why was there a devil's trap in the hideout at the end?

Who would have put it there?

Oh yeah, that too. I think they were implying that Sam and the Wiccan lady painted it, but there was no way for them to draw it on the ceiling that quickly.

I was wondering the same thing. No way they couldn't paint it that quick.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Nice return to form.
