Let me be the first to say it:

Thank God tonight is the season finale and this awful season is finally coming to an end.

And let me also say this to the network executives at FX:

If you cancel Sons Of Anarchy and replace it with Terriers I won't be mad that we get no resolution with these characters, I promise.

LOL, the stupidest network executive wouldn't even do that.

Sons is making it to Season 7, guaranteed, no matter how shitty it gets. Terriers is gone. Best if you accept it.

My anticipated reaction to finale "That was it?"

My wish: Jax renounces club, goes back to Ireland and makes enough mutant babies with his half sister to stock a remake of "The Hills Have Eyes".

I'd like to see SoA continue (and go back to its glory) AND see Terriers get another chance. That show is amazing (and SoA used to be too).

Thanks for not spoiling anything. I have my timer set as I JUST started watching the season last night and I finished the first 2 eps. Though theyve havent been bad, I havent been hooked and it was cheesy how they just killed the cop in the first ep.

They had no choice - the actor wanted to leave the show.

no, he was greedy and wanted more money.

Just like the actor who played Half-Sack.

I guess if you squawk about your contract you get axed.

Damn.

I'll try to post some thoughts later, but all I can say for now is "Hell yeah". This is the Sons I know and love. Great episode.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

I'm going to try to not think hard about the eight episodes or so in the middle of the season concluding with the last Irish ep because I'm pretty sure there is no fucking way they are consistent with the shit Sutter just pulled out of his ass to reset this show on a decent path for season 4.

I'm just happy we're done with all this bullshit and we have only moderately tainted characters who can still hopefully redeem themselves next season.

Decent save, Sutter.

I think the guy who played Half Sack was a real asshole about the money, almost like he thought the show was about him. He really overplayed his cards if I have it right.

From the way I understand it, the guy who played Hale just wanted to join the cast, but Sutter was so sick of hearing this BS he just decided to off the guy's character.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

I am the first to piss all over this season, and i still really liked the finale. I suspected there might be some chicanery taking place with Stahl and i was hooked anyway.

To me this was the Penn and Teller of episodes. I kinda knew what was going to happen, i knew how it was done, and i still thoroughly enjoyed myself. I hope season 4 is this good.

Terrible season, but a good finale that might save the series. Unfortunately, the show has burned through all of my good will. If it blows to start next season, I'm out.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

This is the finale that we should've got for Season 2. I'm gonna pretend that's when this takes place and everything in between never happened.

Got a lot more thoughts, but it'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Are the old Smallville writers working on this show this season? Kickass opening and closing episodes, wrapped around a filling of shit.

Spectacular finale. SAMCRO is likely to have a tough time in prison, especially now that they've pissed off the Russians.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

Aren't there seriously some Smallville writers who joined the staff this season, or am I thinking of some other show?

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

Although I'm still not quite sure exactly what happened in Ireland and why the IRA was interest in Jax' baby, I'm glad it's over and Jimmy and ****punch are both dead. Opie was a cold mfer, finally getting a little payback for his wife. Although I don't think Unser getting punched in the face is going to fool anyone.

Here I thought that the next season was going to be all about Jax tryng to stay alive and repair his relationship with the Sons. Swerve!

Will next season take place behind bars, or after they're all out?

Yeah, no shit. I hope we get a scene next year with Unser trying to explain how Jimmy gets his throat torn out, Stall gets her brains splattered on the windshield, and he just gets punched in the face once.

I'm guessing the new season will start with them getting out on probation and Hale will have been elected mayor bu that point and be the villain

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "NS" -- Season 3 Finale -- 11/30/10

I don't think Unser has anything to worry about. He can hide behind that thin blue line just like Stahl did. What's going to contradict that it was three IRA guys? I love that symmetry.

I don't exactly think Hale will be the enemy of the club. I think he's going to take up the Aceveda role in all of this with the county cops being the true nemesis. When it suits him or the club to work together, they will. When it suits them to screw each other over, they will.

I'd like to see about 2 episodes in prison, and I hope they break the guys up into multiple groups. Another episode should be them transitioning out from prison to home. That then leaves a sizable amount of the season for Charming stuff.

I liked how the Jax-Gemma letter ran parallel to the John Teller letter. I am guessing that we might open on the Jax letter to Tara and that it will contain some sort of surprise.
