I'm on the West Coast and NBC was smart enough to continue to run ads about Ricky Gervais hosting the show.... 2 hours into the show!

The West Coast is re-airing it again from 8pm to 11pm if any of you missed the early airing.
But, there is alot of good scripted shows tonight to get through.

If anyone's wondering, here's the backstory on Martin Henderson. He's the guy Dinklage was talking about during his acceptance speech.

Watching the re-air right now and very happy to see Kate Winslet win for Mildred Pierce. That was a really solid miniseries. It just came out on BD recently and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Just saw Homeland winning for best drama on the re-air. Again, I'm ecstatic the show won. Now, I'm hoping it takes best drama at the Emmys later this year.
For those who didn't watch it on Showtime, but want to see it, the BD is up for pre-order on Amazon for $41.99. No release date yet.

I will concede that Claire Danes is going to be pretty tough to beat.

I thought this was HILARIOUS. Seeing Clooney pass them up to Fincher...and Fincher obviously not wanting to interupt her speech to give them to her. Probably pissed this task was bestowed to him. The whole time she was talking all I could think about was these glasses. How would she get them back!?! Haha

It was annoying to see her reaction after he name was called like she had never won an award before! She should be giving that reaction if she doesn't win the award every damn year!

I watched about half. I tuned in for Gervais and there wasn't nearly enough of him. I did love him asking Depp if he actually saw the Tourist yet.
The most unintentionally funny thing of the night was when Idris Elba was starting his speech, it seemed like the lighting got 200% brighter. Around the :17 mark:

She doesn't "always win". Believe it or not, she hasn't won an Oscar since 1983.
