I actually think Madonna looks good for fiftysomething. Except for her arms.

Disappointed that game of thrones didn't get it, but if it had to be any other show glad it was homeland

So we can only talk about TV shows here, and aspects of the telecasts can't be covered in the movie thread? Is it always done this way?

So happy for Homeland and Claire Danes. Huge props to Howard Gordon for developing the show and bringing it to a premium channel like Showtime.

Sorry, not addressing you even though I quoted you.

That Judi Dench speech fell pretty flat (or should that be in the movie thread? )

Angelina Jolie used to be so hot. She looks awful and way too skinny.

The advertising stressed that Gervais would be returning as host again this year although he's been a ghost tonight. HFPA has clearly gagged him.

Whose arms look worse: Madonna's or Angelina's?

Yikes that's a tough call...Madonna's been like that for a while but when did Angelina get the skeletor arms?

On the other hand, Salma Hayek looks pretty damn amazing....

Gervais: "...and he's a racist."

Director: "Cut to the black table!"

Re: 2012 Golden Globes Discussion Thread --> 1/15/12 (tv edition).

How good an actress is Meryl Streep?

She almost made it seem like winning a Golden Globe was an achievement and this award means something; then she started sounding drunk and confused...

Personally I think Bridesmaids was robbed... every year some deserving comedy/musical like "The Tourist" seems to get hosed.

Why is it I've seen more of Katherine McPhee tonight than the dude who's fuckin' hosting the show?

I liked DiCaprio's "why do I even bother coming to these things" look on his face.
