as far as shows im caught up on

1. Game of thrones
2. Hell on Wheels
3. The Walking Dead
4. American Horror story

also been watching breaking bad, supernatural, and Dexter, but been catching up with older seasons.

Is it worth watching the 6 episode first season that aired in the UK? Or can you just jump straight into the newer season?

You can jump into it in season 2 as they do a mini refresher, but it might make slightly more sense if you see it.

I don't think it's mandatory to watch the UK "1st season"

The new Cinemax version is essentially a brand new show. There is only 1 returning character and he is:
