Thanks for the input. I'll probably start watching it this week while just about everything is in repeats.

VERY disappointing news. I loved all those shows, even if Hung was a bit of a drag at times.

I got a HBO for free when I switched to DirectTV recently. I canceled it after the free trial, but thought I may get it again when Bored to Death returned. Oh well...

Did Bored to Death shoot any of the 3rd season?

The 3rd season just finished airing on HBO.

If your asking about a 4th season, Nope. Plus, Ted Danson is busy working on CSI.

He was on the CBS Sunday Morning show a couple weeks ago talking about how he was on CSI now or one of those lame police dramas.

I watched Hung, but it wasn't a must-see for me. I watched a couple of episodes of Bored to Death and hated every second of it. Never watched HTMIIA.

Managed to get through the season of Enlightened. It was interesting, but more depressing than entertaining. And I still want to see bewbies!

Re: HBO Cancels Bored to Death, Hung and How To Make It In America

I think this third season of bored to death was the best and hung while never living up to what it could have been was still enjoyable. I couldn't get past 3 episodes of Enlightened, wasn't horrible just hard to stick with. Surprised they got rid of all three of those shows and kept Enlightened.

So Hung ended on a cliffhanger? Boo! I haven't watched the last five episodes. Although I was only watching it because it was a quick 27 minutes to pass the time - it was going nowhere, really. But ending on a cliffhanger sucks.

Not really a real cliffhanger. It was more like one of the supporting characters getting what she deserved. Ray's story was pretty much resolved in the last 2-3 episodes.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice body or not, I hated her character.

I'm cancelling HBO now as it is not worth the 10 bucks or so a month for 3 months so my wife can watch True Blood. I'll leave her to fend for herself and find some other way to watch it.

Re: HBO Cancels Bored to Death, Hung and How To Make It In America

You would think that HBO could give each of these shows a chance to somewhat wrap their storylines with an hour or two movie. Hell, they shafted us on Carnivale by ending it well before it was intended to come to an end. Bastards! And yet they'll continue to pour that tv grease down our throats called True Blood.

I like Enlightened, but Bored to Death was something special. At least it didn't get a chance to wear out it's welcome; it went out on a high.

I guess that means that Jonathan will live happily ever after with
Spoiler:
his half-sister

Yeah, seems fitting, doesn't it? I'll just miss hanging out with these 3 clowns - they were a great trio to spend a 1/2 hour with every week.

Wow... I watch all 3 shows too.

Bored to Death hurts the most... by far the best of the 3 shows cancelled.
HTMIIA and Hung was hit/miss - but still enjoyed watching them.

The little Kaitlin Doubleday arc on this past season of Hung was almost as good as the Natalie Zea arc from season 1.

When the hell is Eastbound and Down starting? I thought it was originally starting September? I'm waiting to subscribe to HBO for a couple months when it starts.

It won't start until next year and it has been said that it will be the final season. I read an interview with McBride and he said that they never intended it to be a series anyways and more like an episodic movie.
