If you ask me there was way too much cool zombie action, and not nearly enough 'Dawson's Creek' type teenage-level 'drama' in this episode.

I liked this episode a lot. First time since Sophia went missing that her storyline didn't bug me. Lots of good stuff going on: Andrea's sharpshooting, Laurie finally get rid of all her secrets, Glen getting to kill a zombie. They do enjoy the "zombies out of nowhere" scenario a little too much, but I take it with a grain of salt, because to me it's much more entertaining to have them out of nowhere than if we got a slow build-up of them coming towards the unsuspecting person.

Anyway, hope they wrap up Sophia's storyline during the mid-season finale next week. Also, I suspect something will happen at the Farm to push them back on the road. Maybe it will get overrun or something. Looking forward to next week!

Seriously. This felt more like Days of Our Lives, or whatever. WAY too soap opera-ish for me. Ugh.

It's 10:34pm ET and noone has posted a snarky comment yet. Positive sign?

People who don't like the show might have finally stopped watching?

Can you link to it somewhere? I'm curious.

Ok, but why THAT house and why THAT neighborhood? It made no sense. They could have sat in the car and screamed her name rather than going into any random house in a sub and hoping for better results.

A much better episode though it looks like Sophia will continue to be dragged on.

I thinking Sophia's going to wind up like the loved ones in the barn. Either in the barn or traveling with her mother. Kind of like at the end of Shawn of the Dead.

I really didn't think they were looking for Sophia..It looked like Shane just wanted to go to a area where he thought maybe there were a ton of walkers to get andrea some real world training?

When they were planning the search party and discussing how the doll floated downstream, the young guy from the farm mentioned some new housing development that it could have floated from. that is what took them to that neighborhood. why that house I can't recall.

The plan was to search house to house. That may have been the first house they looked through or the fifth.

Ha ha. It seems some people don't actually pay attention unless there's a zombie on screen.

True. Half the bitching can be easily explained if someone just pays attention.

I had to laugh when Dale was playing with the crossbow bolts in bed.

I guess when Andrea see's something she wants, she just grabs it? I gotta admire a direct approach like that.

I thought it was a decent episode. Andrea picking up shooting, relatively well, didn't bother me much. Some people pick up shooting quickly if they have natural traits that give them an edge. Since I'm a comic reader I'm starting to dig this alternate-reality version of the books. Key people not getting killed off has started to produce some neat results.

I was trying to piece together what happened in that house. It looked like a few soldiers and civilians walled off parts of that house that were more exposed and made a stand there. Then, a walker makes it through the drywall and those hiding make a last stand in the garage. Somehow a fire breaks out, maybe gunfire or a grenade (we a few attached to a vest) and those inside die. Anyone catch and details I missed?

So did I hear correctly that Maggie said one of the zombies in the barn is her Mom ?

Thos.

Yes, and her brother as well.

Yeah, Hershel said his wife & step-son are there as well (Maggie's Mom & brother).

So how much ammo do they have left that they can afford to do target practice each day? I don't think it was on Glen's shopping list? -rolleyes-

I was wondering that too, they sure were wasting a lot of bullets.

I'm not sure "wasting" is the right word since they were using them to train people... but the point of using ammo is still a good one. While it is not like getting ammo in US is particularly hard, it would've been good to see them at least talk about finding more at some point. We saw Rick with his duffel bag already, it is likely that Shane had his own stash and they could have absorbed Merle's... I suppose that could last them awhile.

I've always found shooting easy. I have probably averaged shooting a gun every few years at most and it's very easy to hit a moving target so stationary is nothing. I like to throw up a can and see how many times I can shoot it before it hits the ground.

Shooting is so fucking easy. I can hit a target from 2000 feet. I routinely wow my neighbors by shooting apples off their heads while blindfolded. I once took out an entire flock of birds with a pair of six-shooters as they flew over my head. Again, blindfolded.

Based on my experiences with Lethal Enforcers, I can also say that I rock with shooting.

Good episode, for the most part.
