Nope, episode is so bad that no comments can express how bad it was.

Good episode. Nice to see them do some exploration to the neighborhood. Also glad to see that secrets won't be drawn out for 7 episodes.

Dale may have stepped in some dookie with Shane. Didn't really think that confrontation through. ha ha.

And they should see the folly of using the drug store like it was a pre-zed drug store. After the attack they should have grabbed everything not nailed down.

not sure why it didnt bother me the first trip to the pharmacy (maybe bc i was too busy rooting for my boy getting some action) but i was like why the hell dont they just take everything in the pharmacy to save the trip.

im enjoying the show and I have read the comic, but man i dont remember hating so many characters. I like Norman's character, Glenn, the black guy, and rick even tho hes getting on my nerves bc hes so damn whiny. maybe its been awhile since i read the comics but i dont remember so many of them being unlikeable.

How does Maggie not see that zombie right in front of her? Glenn hacking the shit out of it was pretty awesome though.

The number of "oh shit, a giant herd of zombies just showed up out of nowhere" attacks is getting annoying.

Religious folk. They opt to take only what they need at the time in case someone else comes along and needs something.

Zombies: "Aw, chicken for dinner AGAIN?"

Dale is beginning to piss me off.

A much better episode though it looks like Sophia will continue to be dragged on.

To be fair, without his shenanigans this episode the plot would have progressed even less than it did.

I may have missed it, but how long has it roughly been since Sophia went missing? Carl was all chipper and healthy-looking so we have to assume quite some time has passed, no?

At this point, I just want someone - ANYONE - to die, if only to give us a false illusion that anything can happen to these people. There are a lot of things I've enjoyed about this series thus far, but the lack of true suspense is not one of them. If this makes any sense, I feel that they are doing a decent job with character conflict and creating tension, but I'm just not extracting any suspense from it all, probably because I'm finding it difficult to care about any of the characters. It also doesn't help that I'm watching this alongside Homeland and Dexter, the latter of which also has a lot of characters that just plain stink.

I found myself laughing quite a bit during this episode too. I'm honestly enjoying the show, but I don't know if it's quite in the way they intended.

I was thinking the same thing. In the first season, despite only being 6 episodes, we saw a lot of characters established and still die as the group traveled. We haven't really seen that at all this season, with I think the only human death being Otis which wasn't exactly a big shock.

There are plenty of zombie motion picture alternatives that are basically clones of each other where it's just mindless shoot em up...and no character attachment. It's great to finally have a zombie alternative like The Walking Dead series for a change.

Can't wait for next week. It's going to be hell though after that, waiting till Feb for it to come back.

Maybe I missed it, but why were Shane and Andrea in that neighborhood to begin with? Surely they coukd have found a better spot to pick off walkers if that was their intention.

I enjoyed the episode overall, but groaned when time slowed down as Andrea started shooting the zombies in the head. So cheesy.

And what the fuck is Herschel's problem? Stop being a selfish dick, there's more advantages to having them stay than not.

The "New" people are a threat to his power, as the leaders are young and strong. They are a threat to the moral compass of his group. Having weapons and zero restraint, they are a threat to his zombified family. I think the writers have done a great job at portraying the differences between the two groups.

I am enjoying the character development. Yeah, it's a bit slow at times.

Dale is only character that annoys me. His eyes and mouth are always wide open, as if what he is going to say is profound. He is a horrible actor.

They don't have a budget to handle a thousand zombie rush of the farm ... man that would be an awesome season finale.

If you ask me there was way too much cool zombie action, and not nearly enough 'Dawson's Creek' type teenage-level 'drama' in this episode.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Secrets" -- 11/20/11

I liked this episode a lot. First time since Sophia went missing that her storyline didn't bug me. Lots of good stuff going on: Andrea's sharpshooting, Laurie finally get rid of all her secrets, Glen getting to kill a zombie. They do enjoy the "zombies out of nowhere" scenario a little too much, but I take it with a grain of salt, because to me it's much more entertaining to have them out of nowhere than if we got a slow build-up of them coming towards the unsuspecting person.

Anyway, hope they wrap up Sophia's storyline during the mid-season finale next week. Also, I suspect something will happen at the Farm to push them back on the road. Maybe it will get overrun or something. Looking forward to next week!

Seriously. This felt more like Days of Our Lives, or whatever. WAY too soap opera-ish for me. Ugh.

Ok, but why THAT house and why THAT neighborhood? It made no sense. They could have sat in the car and screamed her name rather than going into any random house in a sub and hoping for better results.

I thinking Sophia's going to wind up like the loved ones in the barn. Either in the barn or traveling with her mother. Kind of like at the end of Shawn of the Dead.

I really didn't think they were looking for Sophia..It looked like Shane just wanted to go to a area where he thought maybe there were a ton of walkers to get andrea some real world training?

When they were planning the search party and discussing how the doll floated downstream, the young guy from the farm mentioned some new housing development that it could have floated from. that is what took them to that neighborhood. why that house I can't recall.

The plan was to search house to house. That may have been the first house they looked through or the fifth.

Ha ha. It seems some people don't actually pay attention unless there's a zombie on screen.

True. Half the bitching can be easily explained if someone just pays attention.

I had to laugh when Dale was playing with the crossbow bolts in bed.

I guess when Andrea see's something she wants, she just grabs it? I gotta admire a direct approach like that.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Secrets" -- 11/20/11

I thought it was a decent episode. Andrea picking up shooting, relatively well, didn't bother me much. Some people pick up shooting quickly if they have natural traits that give them an edge. Since I'm a comic reader I'm starting to dig this alternate-reality version of the books. Key people not getting killed off has started to produce some neat results.

I was trying to piece together what happened in that house. It looked like a few soldiers and civilians walled off parts of that house that were more exposed and made a stand there. Then, a walker makes it through the drywall and those hiding make a last stand in the garage. Somehow a fire breaks out, maybe gunfire or a grenade (we a few attached to a vest) and those inside die. Anyone catch and details I missed?
