That 3rd poster is absolute genius.
Really can't believe it's going to happen.
I hope Egg makes an appearance.

Love them all!

But what's the "It's Going to Be Sweet" one referring to and why the ice cream sandwich? I don't remember that joke, I guess...

Because George Sr. was having a love affair with the ice cream sandwich.

Awesome posters. I can't wait. I only caught a handful of episodes during the original run and wanted to like it more than I actually liked it. Recently burned through the seasons on Netflix and well, it might be my favorite all-time comedy. You really need to watch from the beginning to get everything.

Yeah, when I first caught an episode or two out of order, I didn't get what the fuss was about. Then I went back and started at the beginning and found it to be my all-time favorite comedy, too. I really think it's the perfect comedy, and there's not an episode that isn't great for one reason or another. I've watched the entire series multiple times (and everytime something new still surprises me).

Lots of anticipation and hype for this upcoming series. I certainly hope it can live up to it.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

With these episodes on Netflix and Hulu, I know them inside and out. I would say that I've watched the entire series a good 15 times over the past year or two. Sometimes I pay full attention, and sometimes it just plays in the background.

It'll feel good to see new material.

I'm already making plans to wake up at 3am on the 26th and marathoning the new episodes.

I'm hoping there's a plan for a blu-ray or digital release. I'm willing to subscribe to Netflix for a month to see them the first time, but if they're as good as the original seriese, I'll want to see them time and again, so I'll want to own them.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

Interesting way of doing the episodes. Sounds pretty unconventional from what you'd normally expect but then again this show isn't your average comedy. Definitely looking forward to the show's return. Let's just hope that the movie is made so we get to see acts two and three of the "movie".

Also all the posters are fricken brilliant.

For those of us who live in countries that don't have Netflix, I sure hope these get an official DVD/BR release ASAP after the streaming....

I would think they'd go for a BD set of the entire series. That would be a nice Christmas gift.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

I don't know where this paranoia about not releasing this on physical media is coming from. Warner Bros. didn't stop Fox from releasing Buffy and Angel on DVD so why or how is Netflix gonna stop Fox from releasing Arrested Development on DVD/Blu?

I've been saying that for months but if there was any doubt in anyone's mind they should pay attention to the fact that House of Cards is being released on disc too.

Yeah House of Cards is really the precedent here. They'd be crazy not to release this on printed media. Money waiting to be collected.

Re: New Arrested Development episodes in the works

The story format reminds me of the British theatre comedy smash The Norman Conquests. It's a trilogy of comedies that happen with the same cast in three different rooms during the same weekend visit.

The inter-connectedness of the 15 eps probably means there'll be a ton of fan edits adding to the hype, which can't hurt.
