Synopsis:

Spoiler:
A jock named Luke (guest star Zachary Abel) asks Cassie (Britt Robertson) to the school dance, and after watching Adam (Thomas Dekker) spend time with Diana (Shelley Hennig) at the boathouse, she accepts his offer. Meanwhile, Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) sees the dance as an opportunity to get closer to Nick (Louis Hunter). Faye (Phoebe Jane Tonkin), on the other hand, has no plans to go and remains focused on finding a way to control her powers. Dawn (Natasha Henstridge) discovers someone from their past, an intense man named Zachary (guest star Dave Baez), is in town asking questions about the Cassie and the Circle, so she asks Charles (Gale Harold) to keep an eye on him. Colin Bucksey directed the episode written by Richard Hatem (#103).

My favorite episode so far. Loved seeing them all work together to save Cassie.

I'm glad they bound the Circle early in the show. With none of them able to do magic alone, it gives them some vulnerability and ups the tension.

Based on the previews, Faye's Mom wasn't kidding when she warned the guy she could make his life a living hell.

The Cass/Adam...thing...is not gonna go away is it? Sigh.

I want more of the adult stuff. That's way more interesting than the circle of newbies.

The Cassie/Adam thing wouldn't be so damn annoying if it wasn't being dropped on our heads like an anvil.

I agree, I'm more interested in the parents background than the kids at this point.

Faye's looking good.

i think this is what is really starting to make the show interesting to me. Super powered people shows are usually boring to me. i would have watched for Lux, but now things have a real chance of someone being in danger and as you said being vulnerable. makes it a little more relate able.

This was not a very good episode. It was basically straight out of the CW playbook, with the lead heroine in danger at a school dance. Vampire Diaries has done this episode's plot multiple times, in a much more effective manner. The villain made little sense and posed zero danger to Cassie, because as a viewer you can reason backwards that a new show is not going to kill off the female lead three episodes in.
