anyone know what time amazon puts the shows up for sale on their video on demand service?

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
"I will kill your infant daughter."
the way he said that gave me chills |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Crazy stuff...it feels like the series is about to end, can't imagine what they'll come up with for another 16 episodes. Guess that's why I'm not part of their writing team ha

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Best hour in television ever.
The last 15 minutes will be legendary. |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
What an incredible hour of television. Everything worked. There was this undeniable tension running through the episode that reached a boiling point with Walt's frantic visit to Saul's office. This honestly seems like the end of the show is approaching; I sort of wish we didn't know there was going to be another season since it would make things a lot more dramatic and tense.
I can't imagine what's going to go down in these final episodes. I mean, Hank's already been warned, so it's too late. Walt doesn't have any money, and the only person he could ask to borrow money from, Jesse, is unreachable. I'm glad they tied giving Ted the money back into the main storyline. Giancarlo Esposito truly deserves an Emmy for his portrayal of Gus. I can't picture anyone on television in a supporting role rivaling his intensity. Jesse and Walt were both fantastic this episode. It's great that they've taken Mike out of commission, but haven't killed him off. I love how everyone is blaming Walt for Hank's detective work, but Walt's done all he can to thwart Hank's investigation.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
The way Gus said "What did you say to me?" was great.
|
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Those last few minutes were insane. Walt's laughter was just creepy as hell.
Also, is Ted dead? I wasn't sure if he was injured badly or if that did him in... |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Holy. Shit. This was the most intense episode yet. The direction, cinematography and editing were so fucking tight. The tension was just insane. Did anyone kinda have a feeling that Skyler was gonna get shot from behind when she was leaning over the crawl space. That was just so insane.
and.. Ted's dead, baby. Ted's dead. |

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Well his fingers were twitching still, so he still could be alive.
But then they wouldn't be freaking out about it. |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
^ that was just his central nervous system still functioning shortly after death. Never heard of death twitch?
|
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
holy shit. how is this not the end?
|
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Walt's maniacal laughter at the background with Skyler on the phone reminded me of The Joker.
I should commend GianCarlo Esposito's consistently magnificent performance personally...he's currently filming in Vancouver right now and goes to the same yoga studio that I go to. |

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Yeah, if he was dead why didn't they come out and just say it. His twitching fingers seemed to indicate (to me at least) that he was still alive. May they had to take him to the hospital or something...Or maybe I'm just wrong and he is dead.
That was an amazing hour. I agree that with the previous poster who said he doesn't know how this could go a whole 16 episodes more next season. Does anyone remember how much money Walt should have? How much did he tell his daughter he had in that one scene, season 2 I think. I didn't think that Skylab giving away $600,000+ would put that big a dent in their cache. Saul said it would take at least half a million for the whole family. Walt had to have had over a million, right? Has there been a TV character more physically abused (either by others or things like his car "accident") on a regular basis than Walt? |

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
It may be tough to get him in the category when Aaron Paul is considered supporting actor. Can't they put him as guest actor or something like they did with John Lithgow for Dexter.
I just hope they don't forget about this show come Emmy time, considering it will have been almost a year since the showed ran the next time the Emmys air. I don't watch Mad Men, but was this episode better than "The Suitcase" episode I keep hearing was so great? |

I suppose after buying the carwash in full, along with Walt Jr.'s car, on top of Walt's cancer related payments, Hank's medical bills, along with paying for a house and an apartment, and all the normal bills & expenses, they could be a little low.
Just another quick note...Gus employs a full medical team in Mexico? I wonder what he uses them for the rest of the time. |

I admittedly don't watch as much TV as a lot of people, but that was quite possibly the tensest, most chilling episode of a television show I've ever seen.

I don't know how they keep topping themselves episode after episode. Remarkable episode tonight, and there's 2 more to go this season!

I've been confused about the chicken farm vs. the laundry. I originally thought the laundry was at a different location than the chicken farm and it seems that is true. So why were they so worried that Hank would see something at the chicken farm? What is going on there? |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
When Skyler visited at the beginning and Ted tripped over the carpet I remember thinking that was an odd camera linger ... interesting direction to take that storyline.
Walt has been trying to be threatening this season, but he's been running around, acting insane, and only being a threat to himself. I wonder if, now that he's truly stepped in it, he'll finally use his brain for a way to rationally go after Gus instead of running off half-cocked. It is definitely a convenient time to have Mike taken out of the equation. He was the ruthless, smart muscle who I would never buy either Walt or Jesse besting. With him out of the way, Gus and his operation has to be at least a bit more vulnerable. |

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Holy fuck that was the tensest final ten minutes of a show ever! I'm almost at a loss for words that was just incredible but those last ten or fifteen minutes were just amazingly good. I can't even begin to think how this show is going to go into next season. Gus is such an evil bastard and Walt has really dug himself and his family into a grave. The one person that he could trust he mistreated for so long and if Jesse comes back to save his ass is about the only chance he's got at this point. It's going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Best damn show on television.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
To repeat what others have said, the last bit of the show was amazing. The laugh, the music, the cinematography...I'd have to say it reminded me of the best moments of movies by Kubrick & Lynch. Vince Gilligan is a genius, I hope he has more opportunities in TV when this is done.
I was really afraid that Walt was going to kill Skyler when she didn't immediately explain why she gave away the money. |

I knew as soon as Ted tripped over the carpet that by the end of the episode he was going to die b/c of that carpet. It's like that scene in the movie Out of Sight. I would agree with the sentiment that knowing there are 18 more episodes has in some lessoned the tension on these. I can't imagine what it would be like if they were still vague about the possibility of season 5. |

Like others have said, this show keeps getting better. This episode was amazing. I don't want this show to end. |

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Wow. I almost felt sorry for Walt; he's in huge hole (of his own making) now. I don't know how they can continue the show without Gus getting killed. Can't wait to see what Vince Gilligan & Co. have in store for the rest of the series.
|
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Holy shit, that was good!
I figured the initial trip over the carpet would be significant, but I didn't imagine it would be to quite that extent. The scene with Gus tormenting Hector was absolutely brutal. Mark Margolis gave an award worthy performance conveying his emotions without saying a word. Interesting framing on the last shot with Walt on/in the ground. |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
Wow. It's all gonna come down to Walt v. Gus.
Is Mike really dead though? They did not make that clear. |

Is Mike really dead though? They did not make that clear. Are you talking about Ted or did you actually somehow miss the fact that Mike is quite clearly alive? |
Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
I love the plot synopsis in the OP. "Skyler's efforts to solve Ted's financial problems hit a wall."

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Crawl Space" -- 9/25/11
I wasn't the only one that laughed when Ted tripped and hit his head, right?
