Anyway, I don't think I've seen Caviezel in anything except Frequency. I did enjoy the film and him in that. However, the reviews I've read for the pilot are that he's the weakest part. I didn't get the sense that his acting was bad, but that he just comes off as cold. Maybe that's intended for the character in the script?

Meh. It turned out to be yet another crime thriller. So each week will just be another "case" to investigate and solve?

I was off in my ratings prediction. Got around 13m viewers and 3.1 in the demos.

I'm on the fence with this show and Unforgettable. Neither show's gimmick seem compelling enough to make for good stories but I'll give each a couple more episodes to hook me.

I'm definitely on the fence with this one. The Abrams touch is something to look forward to. But if it's just a procedural with all-seeing cameras and bad guys who are too stupid to shoot the hero when they have a chance, then I'll pass. I guess I give it another week or two to find out.

The pilot was good, but it was one of those pilots that don't really tell you how it's going to play as a series.

SO that was the dude from Die Hard 2? I saw him briefly laying on the ground and wondered but I never saw him again. I was doing other stuff with this on in the background and from what I saw I liked. Nothing to record and work hard to see but Ill see it for the only reason I first saw it The Count of Monte Cristo!

I thought this was pretty strong. Caviezel played a few scenes a little awkwardly, but you never know if that was the actor or the direction. I'll gladly give this one more shows to iron the characters out.
It is essentially a crime drama, but the light sci-fi element gives it legs to me and makes it more interesting than the standard CSI-style drama.

I liked the pilot, even if the central premise is outlandish and not at all realistic, but the show being on CBS gives me pause. That network is simply looking for another procedural to fill a slot, they will kill any attempt to build a serialized narrative structure of any depth. The pilot revealed too much information about the background of the program and Mr. Finch, which in a serialized show would have been revealed more slowly over the course of the first season. To give this show's story more juice, they really need to introduce conspiracy elements into the background.

I came out with a totally different opinion. Emerson was decent but as Desmond mentioned, it's just Ben Linus transposed into a new setting.
Caviezel was a fucking snooze. The action scenes were fucking great, but everything else he did was awful. He was way to stoic. I mean, playing a character as stoic is one thing, it's another to look completely disinterested in the job you are doing as an actor. Hell he couldn't even smile in the flashback scenes. He looked like he'd rather be doing anything than working on this show. Talk about a one note performance. It really took me out of it.
The premise and writing were solid though, so I'll give it another chance or two.

I liked the performances but it seems just like a standard cop show except they get to work on the outside of the system.

If he can listen to someone by having their cell phone's microphone turn on and transmit to his phone, won't that person notice their cell phone battery being used up pretty quick? Not that I believe it is even possible...

Seems like one of the better new shows (this is the only new one so far that has kept me interested). It is yet another crime show, but I like the little twist of they don't know if the person they are following is good or bad. I'll give it a few more watches.

Hawaii 5-0 has been filling the 24 void for me.
As for this show, I gave it a rewatch and I dug it a lot more, but Caviezel was still awkward in most scenes.
