"What the hell is going on?"--I laughed at that! At least the way they edited it is comical, but the fact that we only heard the one line makes me think perhaps it could have been a great song.

It IS a great song... "Hide & Seek" by Imogen Heap :)

that rendition of Justin Bieber's "Baby" was actually pretty good... I'd buy a real studio version of that.

Watched both episodes tonight (All 4 hours worth) -eek-

Let me just say the editing for these audition episodes was horrible. There is no consistency on keeping the judges clothes consistent and the cities where the auditions are taking place. There was one part where they claimed it was the "New Jersey" audition and we saw Nicole multiple times wearing the same clothes she wore last week in the Seattle auditions. At one point they showed Nicole leaving her hotel in New Jersey and then she showed up to the arena wearing something entirely different. I was getting a headache at all the jumping around. And yeah right about their claim making another stop in Seattle. That was just left over footage from last week.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Cheryl Cole again. You know I actually liked her. Disappointing she won't be part of the panel. I like Nicole Scherzinger and think she's a very talented singer (Yes, I have both Pussycat Doll CDs), but she sounds like a fucking idiot sometimes.

 Really liked the 14 year old girl who did the Justin Bieber song. That was a really cool take on it.

-screwy- I was amazed they let that obnoxious little shit 14 year old rapper through. I didn't realize rappers were allowed in this competition.

 to that black kid from Mississippi who kept singing when the music stopped. He has no chance in hell of winning, but he carried himself very well.

The blonde girl named Cari Fletcher was a pretty generic blonde and I didn't think she did a great cover of "Alone" She started soooo low in his singing.

-eek- The last girl Jazzlyn, who sang "I'm going Down" was amazing. It was literally 2 different people on that stage. She appeared really shy and awkward and once she started singing, she had alot of confidance and attitude.

I'm glad the audition episodes are over with. I'm guessing "Boot Camp" is this shows version of Hollywood Week.

I'm surprised when anyone accuses Nicole of not being able to sing. I'm glad she did what she did and put a smackdown on that by going acapella. As for Cheryl Cole, I don't know if it was a confirmed rumor or not, but rumor is they want her back as a 5th judge.

how can they have 5 judges? There are 4 groups to mentor.
Nicole is a bad choice for being a judge as she has no personality or consistency. She switched from baby talk to urban street to country twang at the drop of the hat. It was rude of Nicole to try and upstage the woman during her audition. It wasn't like bikini girl and Kara because the woman wasn't picking a fight with Nicole or saying Nicole can't sing. She was just auditioning and Nicole take it upon herself to try and upstage someone. bleh.

Agree. She's hot and all, but terrible at articulating even 1 coherent criticism. Paula is sounding alot smarter than her. I think they had no choice bringing her in as the 4th judge since she was already under contract as the co-host before they dumped Cheryl Cole and it was so last minute.

So basically Cowell is telling America he has no taste for decent music. Perhaps he would have preferred they sang something by Leona Lewis.

Nicole wasn't trying to upstage the contestant... she was responding to Simon's putdown. And from what I've occasionally seen on the internet about her being all flash and no substance, I'm still in her corner for shutting both Simon and that contingent of the internet up. She can sing. Best ever? No, but she can sing. I do agree it was quite awkward to do that while the contestant is sitting there on stage awaiting feedback. But I blame that on Simon, not Nicole. If he's going to call her out like that, she's right to respond like that. Who knows, maybe she apologized to the contestant. I'm not deluded enough to think what we saw was the entirety of the exchange. The show is heavily edited.

As for 5 judges, I can't speak to it. I read they were trying to get the other judge back as it popped up in one of my RSS feeds. Based on the site involved, I classify it as no more than a rumor.
