Wow, I thought it was pretty fucking terrible. The three guys were unfunny and unlikable, and Zooey went way too far trying to be the "nerdy" chick. I didn't find myself rooting for any of them. The douchebag jar was the only bit I found funny and the ending was just painful. I will give it another ep or two to settle in (mostly cause I hate bailing on a show based on one episode), but I have to say it's number one on the cut list right now.

+1 And "begs to differ" is putting it LIGHTLY. Great comedy!
Schmidty is supposed to be a "womanizer"? Sorry the shirtless thing just read as "gay" to me. What women are sleeping with HIM?! I thought he looked better as Leo on Veronica Mars that he did here. He was too pale to be taking his shirt off.
I found it funny too but can see it a) being overused or b) disappearing completely.

I laughed a fair bit. All in all I think the GF enjoyed it more. I found the timing and delivery of the LOTR follow up classic. I'm not sure how long it can sustain the setup though. There isn't a long term plot thread aside from her awkwardness. How long can you realistically keep that up without her learning from the roommates?

That is where I know him from. Thanks. I think my crush on Zooey colored my enjoyment of the show. I hope it gets better with time.

out of the four new shows I started (Whitney, Up all night, 2 Broke Girls, and New Girl) this is the only one that was almost unwatchable.
REALLY ANNOYING stuff going on throughout the entire episode. Not funny in the least.

I like the series so far. I don't like the guys that much but they work well witih Zooey's character, who I think is pretty funny. "It's Jess!"
I too find it hard to believe she doesn't know she's hot, but she really does act like a real dork on the show so it works out. Sometimes the metrosexual character can get annoying but sometimes he does some funny stuff like taking the imaginary crown off and throwing it out the window.

Love where this show started from and where it ended up.
Love that most people liked the Coach and the Douchebag Jar the best (I liked Coach and the Douchebag jar)
Never in a million years did I think Schmidt was going to be the breakout star of this show.
