So if the Cartel starts making the blue too, then in the long run they can end up being the fall guys for Hanks investigation.
And now I'm wondering if Skyler doesn't turn out to be as dangerous as the rest--if her old boss keeps screwing things up, I could see her deciding he needs taking out for her own family's safety...

I'm sure Walt is going to blow a gasket when he finds out his money has been spent to help Ted out of a jam ... not to mention the issue of Ted then knowing that Skyler is into something she shouldn't be.

Setting up for a Shield type ending down the line?
Basically everyone around Walt gets taken down or leaves him so that he's isolated? Skyduh get snagged by the IRS (or ends up with Ted after helping him out?), Jesse either takes a bullet in Mexico or maybe just goes his own way down there, Walt, Jr finds out what's been going on and Hank figures things out but can't do anything about it because of some shady investigation practices. Gus and the Cartel annihilate each other leaving Walt alone with no money, no ability to cook on a large scale and no distribution.

I think Walt is more valuable to Gus then we or Walt is led to believe, but they don't want Walt to realize that. I can't see Jessie going to Mexico by himself, he's scared he's gonna get killed here let alone there.
As for Skycleavage she has to figure out an explanation for Ted as to where he got the money, she may never tell Walt. He probably doesn't even know how much money he has. The problem is then Ted will wonder where she got the money.
I still think in the end Walt will be completely out of the meth business with plenty of money, without consequences. Right now it looks like there's no way out for him but he will come up with plan, he's been thinking about it for some time. He may the only one left alive or not in prison.

I knew Jesse would lose it when it Walt confronted him. The guy murdered someone in cold blood to save Walt's life, and now Walt is questioning his loyalty.

Walt must love MMA. Once he threw Jessie into the speaker he had double arm control and threw him down and got into the mount position. He proceeded to do an illegal move (he's dirty) and did a fish hook but he didn't put his hooks in while in the mount position as Jessie got out of it.
That said. Big thumbs up for Skytits. I think they might be natural too and she's packing a punch just like the fight.

to explain that helping Ted protects their own interests. Funny how she has become the comedy relief for the show with the garment bags in the closet last week, then ringing up phony sales and the whole "Isn't Quicken the best?" bit to save her old boss this week.

I thought this episode was genius, but that last five minutes - wow. That was on a whole other level. I was getting very nervous knowing it was towards the end of the episode and remembering the flash-forward at the beginning.
I love that the entire speech from Jesse felt so contrived yet came off as completely truthful. And the entire ordeal was still left open to interpretation.

At the very least, it buys Gus some time and reprieve from the cartel so he can put the Hank issue to bed one way or another.
Gus should take his car to a service shop under the pretense of getting work done. Pull off the GPS and take it to the DEA/ABQ guys he met with and say it was found during routine maintenance and is he being watched/followed/does he need a lawyer. The agents will know exactly who did it and Hank will end up in a shit-storm and neutralized.

That sniper action came at the very site that former DEA agent Hank is wanting to cruise by. As Mike said in the previous episode, they can handle the cartel or Hank by themselves but the two together could create a perfect storm if the cartel acts in a way that Hank sees it.
I have been curious about the truck that was jacked. Obviously they were not following the truck or they would have stopped them, but they must have cleaned up the scene before anyone else happened across the scene or Hank would have heard about it and have a HUGE bit of evidence against Gus.

Really great episode, the fight at the end was very realistic in its awkwardness.
When Ted went to talk to Skyler for the first time, I had a strong suspicion that he was wearing a wire. Would have been a good way for him to get reduced punishment since he was in such a jam. I'm surprised Skyler wasn't more careful in what she said.

Oh yeah, I'm sure that he has no idea about the car wash money laundering. But wasn't the whole tension in the episode about the potential for Skyler & the rest of the White family to be under investigation? If they wouldn't care about an underling, that kind of removes any motivation Skyler had in the episode.

I don't think Gus is folding. They wanted his cook, he's giving them his busboy. There's no way he's giving up the recipe. I'm just wondering if Jesse's lucky cigarette is going to come into play down in Mexico with the head of the cartel.

The "I'm just a cashier" line was a call-out on Ted's comment. He doesn't know she owns the place. She didn't answer honestly but she's trying to kill the investigation as an "ignorance" issue.
The issue I have with the whole thing is the IRS guy would never take her word that there were "electronic checks". They would audit those other companies to look for the outgoing expenses. It wouldn't have been as easy as they made it appear. But that's just a nit-pick.

One of the things that struck me was Jesse always calling Walt "Mr. White" in this episode. I've been following the show fairly closely, but doesn't he normally call him by his first name.
I actually felt a lot of sympathy for Jesse just because he seems like he's stuck trying to do the right thing by Gus (who he doesn't call Mr. Fring) and Walt. I don't know if the using the last name throughout the episode enhanced the betrayal when Walter finally revealed that he was tracking Jesse.

How can someone watch this show for three, four seasons and not realize that Jesse has always called Walt Mr. White?
