Also, great cinematography and lighting at that end scene where Walt is at the end of the hall and Skychunk is silouetted carrying the baby.
The entire conversation between Jesse and the meth head before he gets him to dig. "What are you looking for?"
"you know what I'm looking for"
"how deep are you going to dig"
"how deep do you think it is".....

Walt is such a bitch. I love that I hate him right now.
"I have to protect our family from the man that wants to protect our family", or something like that.
Great episode.
But my wife still wants Skyler to be dead. She said "Someone, anyone, please kill her".

So Skymall was going to take the baby but leave Walt Jr. to be raised by Walt? I would expect Sky-lure to have a better plan than that.

She knows Walt Jr. hates her. She's smart enough to know that. Walt Jr. would never follow her.
Remember that everyone thinks that's all about gambling, that'w why Walt Jr. was talking about it being a disease like alcoholism and that Skyler should support Walt Sr.
I don't think Skyler is a victim, but it's not easy for her neither.

I get they are trying to convert Walt into a jerk... but there are too many nonsensical moves (and while he's obviously no mastermind, they still seem pretty bad)
There's the cleaning lady stuff that Silentbob mentioned (I was hoping Gus would have had his muscle take Walt and the ladies out in the desert and have Walt watch them get shot for his stupidity). There's buying the 'stang for Walt, Jr - yes he was probably trying to piss Pschylur off, but he had to realize that car would raise flags.... this is a guy a few weeks ago who didn't even want buying the Car Wash mentioned over the phone?
The only thing that made sense was his arrogance with Jesse about Gus... he should have handled it more tactfully and understood the risk that Gus is isolating him, but I understand his pride and ego getting in the way as he assumes he can just manipulate Jesse and Jesse will remain loyal no matter what.

I really thought the cleaning ladies were going to refuse to help him. When Walt first pointed to the area, they looked like they had been warned to stay away from there.
Weird not having Hank in this episode considering he's 'back' on the case.

I really hope the car wash ties into the larger plot in some meaningful way, because I am so tired of hearing about it.
I loved Walt Jr.'s whole "What you've got is a disease, Dad, I read about it on the web...."

Walt is losing it. His ego is expanding exponentially, he's not thinking carefully, he's boasting. It's ridiculous. This is the first time I've felt Skyrreah was justified in her behavior, because Walt is going off the deep end.

I remember a time in the series where Walt was the level-headed cautious one. His ego is definitely getting the better of him and he's also getting cocky. All it will take is an attempt on Skyburp's and/or the kids' lives and that should knock some sense into him.

This is the first season I've watched as they aired, after catching all the others on DVD. It's nice being able to keep up week to week, but I almost wish I would have waited again, it's fucking horrible watching this on Directv with no HD.

I wonder if walt could order all the chemicals he needs for meth now that he owns a car wash. Maybe he will have his own lab in season 5 and the meth will be sold to the illusive cartel.
The Skyler mis-spellings feel like they were old three weeks ago, and at this point I have to say that I find it more annoying than those who choose to correct mis-spellings.
Who would have thought that something even more annoying than spell correction on an internet forum, could have been spawned because someone felt the need to correct someone on the spelling of Skyler. What a can of fucking worms......

I dont know about anyone else, but when Ckypyg was yelling at Walt with her bugged out eyes and swollen lips, creep the shit out of me. Im GLAD I wasnt watching in HD
If I was Walt, I woulda gotten that dollar and spent it right in front of his former boss. Wipe down this!

What really creeped me out was the look of the meth-heads. We've seen some nasty looking people on the show before, but those 2 guys seem to take the cake. The teeth are the most bothersome for me - makes me feel a tad nauseated. I can never understand how people can see how much meth (and other hard drugs) just rapes you from head to toe, inside and out - and decide to give it a whirl anyways.

Good episode again but I agree Walt is getting cockier and making some dumb moves. The car especially was over the top. I also agree that Skyler was justified this week about being upset with him and wonder if she will get herself and Holly the hell out of anywhere near Walt. I like that Jesse is acting more like himself again even though it's clear that Gus is simply manipulating him to turn against Walt or (less likely in my opinion) gain his trust and then off him. I also was kind of glad to have a break from Hank and Marie this episode. I like them both but Marie especially has been getting on my nerves lately.

The only thing about Gus killing Walt, is that he needs more than just a cook; he needs a chemist. Jesse could cook but if there was any problem he would be screwed, so without Gail, Gus should be looking for another chemist.
I usually hate Schy-lar, but this season she has been right on while Walt has been a bitch, even worse so since he is going to get more people killed with his attitude/actions.

Yeah, this is a first, but in this instance, I'm going to have to back up Cylon. She was pretty much the voice of even-headed reason to Walt's increasingly unhinged state of mind.

Skylar may have been correct about Walt's reckless behavior but she was way off in her analysis of what he's "feeling". Walt is obviously acting out because no one is recognizing his genius and value. He can't get Gus to meet with him or even talk to him. Zkiloor thinks he's acting out to Hank to confess and get help. No, he's wanting someone to stroke his ego and tell him how smart and powerful he is.
It was great seeing Walt conclude correctly that Gus set the situation up for Jessie. But for all that intelligence, he's terrible at expressing/managing it correctly as evidenced by his poor approach with Jessie over it. That scene and the %kylore scene in the bedroom amplify both the best & worst of Walt.

Best episode since the premiere. I loved that scene towards the beginning of the episode with Walt and Skyphillus.
With every episode Gus is emasculating him in some form - Walt's head is a mess.

I can't take any of these thread discussions seriously. As soon as a Skymall variation pops up I laugh.
If everyone can just talk about Skyrim at the end of each message, I think it'll work out better.

@ Skymall and Skyrrhea. I for one say keep the misspellings going.
