The Garrity stuff was hilarious, the rest of the episode just sort of happened.

I enjoyed Teddy's reparations scene too.

So Franco's shit doesn't stink? F him. He's the last one that needs to run his mouth.

Seriously. I would watch a show about the crew with Tommy Gavin just a side/minor character. Keep his family out of it too.

I enjoyed Teddy's reparations scene too.
Great scene. Maybe we can keep Teddy.

After that opening scene, they led me to believe that maybe Franco might be the guy who was going to be offed, but I think that's red herring.

I asked this before, but never got an answer. What the hell did I miss in this show about Garrity and why he's not doing any firefighting duties? Is it because of his health stuff last year?

I was wondering that too. I don't think it's because of the health stuff last year, he kept that under wraps so he would keep his job.

so the question remains, why the hell isn't he with the crew? he's been held back twice now that we've seen. seems weird to have that issue yet not address it.

Maybe he didn't pass the physical. He went in and got Lou's shots, maybe he didn't go back and get the ones under his own name?

I agree, it's weird they haven't mentioned it at all. I guess it would take time away from the dumb wedding storyline.

IMO I'm OK with any one of them dying except Garrity.

but it happened in the episode prior to the physical one, i think. or maybe it was that episode but before the physical thing. i don't remember exactly, but they've glossed over it more than once.

Big fan of the show I see. How did you manage to stick with it for this long? I'll bet money that you think "this show went to shit after the 2nd season"

You can enjoy watching a show despite the fact that 95% of the characters are completely unlikable...though it's difficult.

I don't think it "went to shit" but it certainly went down hill around that time... I hate Tommy's homelife shit... his wife and his daughters... egads... I liked his crazy relationship with Sheila. I hated when they killed off the old Chief Jerry. I have grown tired of Tommy's on again off again alcoholism. We get it. It's your (one of many) demons. Drink or don't, but stop jerking us along for the ride. I think they totally fucked up Mike's character... he's been reduced to a retarded bisexual. Franco, at least this last season has been written as a whining little bitch. I really soured on Teddy after the whole thing with him shooting Tommy and blaming him of all people of his girlfriends death. I don't care about cancer lady... maybe if she was introduced earlier in the show, but she's a relatively new character who is chewing up a lot of precious screen time (aka time away from the banter of the firehouse) with all of her problems, that I quite frankly couldn't care less about. Die, or don't... I don't care about you cancer lady! I like Garrity... and I like the new Chief "Needles".. I'd hate to see either bite it.

I'm tired of him being such an irresistable hunk of man meat, every woman wants to sleep with him.

I hope that was a joke.

All fair points, I wish the show would have focused on the firehouse crew.

In fairness to Tommy, Denis Leary is the principal writer so of course he's going to write his character as a guy who gets alot of women.
