Burn Notice -- "Enemy of my Enemy" -- 7/28/11

By djariya at 2011-06-23
Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Episode 6 of 18
FYI, the summer finale is scheduled for September 8th after episode 12
I just got caught up with the last 2 episodes. Guess the fans here aren't watching this show right away. But, I'm liking this frame up arc with Michael and the mystery person who killed Max. The little twist at the end of the last episode with the man dressed as Michael was pretty cool.
Just out of curiosity, did anyone pick up "The Fall of Sam Axe" DVD/Blu Ray that came out this week? It was supposed to be an extended director's cut and I was wondering if it was any good or made the movie better? I thought the movie was disappointing when it aired this spring and have no need to re-visit it.

I only found it on DVD (but didn't buy it). Didn't know it was also coming to BD. Tonight's episode featured two characters from it.

Loved the cameo of the two CIA guys from the movie. That was a cool episode.

I thought it was a good Sam centric episode and showed his skills much better than the movie did.
at the cameo of the CIA guys and the who's a better sniper game.

Sam, on the Michael body-double: "Good looking guy. Doesn't quite have your chin, though."
Michael: "That means a lot, coming from you."

I also liked Jesse shooting a frownie face behind the drug kingpin to show him he was there.

Very fun Sam-centric episode. I love how the character can just bullshit his way out of the most ridiculous circumstances. The appearance by the 2 CIA guys from the Burn Notice movie was a nice touch.
at Madeline's southern accent and fake sob story for the county records lady.Looking forward to Michael's confrontation with "Fake Michael Westen"

I too enjoyed that. Also used the chin gag in the Sam Axe movie. And I just relized where I had seen those two CIA analysts before. Thanks to this thread.

Great episode. After the first 2-3 episodes of the season I was underwhelmed, but have loved the last few. Hope it keeps up the rest of the season.
