Gwen was awesome in this episode. Liked her exchange with Dichen Lachman in the plane. However, the episode was a little uneven though and I didn't like Wayne Knight as the mysterious cloak and dagger guy. That was some terrible casting. Also, Mekhi Phifer's over-acting is hilariously bad.
And regarding Dr. Juarez, what kind of doctor doesn't know how to treat arsenic poisoning? She said she's not a chemist, but she should have some training and knowledge on how to treat it. She acted like she was clueless.
at how they kept antagonzing that male flight attendant as being gay and he kept denying it.
Surprised that they sort of acknowledged Jack's sexuality when he mentioned a boyfriend from the 1800's.
I liked how the episode ended with the coverup and escape taking full force. And you can't top seeing Dichen Lachman with a broken neck and head in reverse.

Dr. Juarez did have a way to treat arsenic poisoning... in a hospital, but that couldn't work on the plain. Not every doctor is going to know all the components needed to create the meds they push which is why she involved the others.
I thought Wayne Knight was fine. He doesn't always have to play a Newman character.

Now this is Torchwood! I thought this episode was excellent. Gwen was absolutely on fire. The sequence where they're cooking the antidote is as good as anything they've done in the series. And it was great to see the chick from Dollhouse get her ass kicked again and again (and then some). Can't stand her.
I'm curious how they're going to link the Torchwood crew to Bill Pullman's character.
And you've got to love that last line. "Welcome to Torchwood." Hell yeah.

Gwen's line at the end of "Welcome to Torchwood" was great and I agree the antidote sequence on the plane was awesome.

Wayne Knight has done some serious roles before. I'm happy to watch him in anything, so it was nice to see him here.

I liked everything about the episode except the Lauren Ambrose character. She's way too irritating, and her overacting is as bad if not worse than Mekhi Phifer's.

No mention of Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), so I'll do it. Lauren Ambrose. It was nice to see her again, a little older and a lot sexier.
My niece was visiting and wanted to watch a movie. Instead, I put on Torchwood. She started with, "I'm not really in the mood for some British show," but I didn't stop it. By the time the credits rolled, she asked only 2 questions:
1) Is that it?
2) Do you have the next episode?

I think Lauren Ambrose looks smoking hot here (must be all the red), but so far she hasn't had anything to do. I'll wait and see where they take her.

I liked her a lot on SFU and actually have seen her in person (very hot), but her and Dichen were the weak links in this episode. Hopefully, it's leading to something good.

I actually loved Lauren Ambrose in this. She gives across this deliciouly evil false sweetness. I can't wait to see her show her true colours.
Speaking of colour. She looks all kinds of sexy in all that red.
I also liked Wayne Knight as the CIA badguy. I hope he sticks around for plenty of episodes.
I loved the sequence when they were making the antidote on the plane. It had a very Mission Impossible (the series) meets Apollo 13 vibe to it. Loads of fun.
I actually like Dichen Lachman so it was fun to see her as a bad guy. And I loved Gwen's line to her before knocking her out (even if the ads spoiled the hell out of it). Was never much of a Gwen fan but I'm becoming one now.
All throughout this episode all I kept thinking is that I want to own this season on BD already.

I think I enjoyed this episode more than the premier! I will say the pacing in this is great and by the time the hour is finished I want to see more.
Some good fun jokes, appropriate use of language since I felt things were used in S1 just because they could and they felt out of place, and nice fighting. I could do without the moving severed arms and the neck incident (ouch!). Speaking of, they didn't really explain who the female agent was - last week when we first saw her I she was the doctor who treated Rex.
I though Rex handled the phone call from Ester really well. I would have liked that it was a bit more clear he was signaling Jack and Gwen to help him. I guess it worked in the context of the scene.
Not liking the PR lady.
They need to move Bill Pullman's story line along quick, because right now it isn't doing anything for me. However, it will be interesting to see how Jack approaches him due to the events in CoE.
