.....might be legit, but... *eases away*

Love the photos. I was afraid they might try to pretty Brienne up a bit, but glad they didn't (no offense to the actress). Mel looks great, though Stannis doesn't look as tough or intimidating as I would have imagined.

I remember everyone thought the actress playing brienne was to pretty. Brienne looks exactly how I thought she would, melisandre as well!

Davos looks more like I pictured Stannis. The guy playing Stannis needs a beard.

I always thought Stannis was clean shaven, another one of his traits that was so opposite his brother and most others in the realm.

Pretty sure he has a short stubbly beard in the books.

Well,

Spoiler:
He's truly mostly spoken of this time around and has what amounts to a cameo.

That's assuming they adhere strictly to book 2. I have a feeling they're going to condense some story lines and bridge slightly into book 3 for some characters.

My feeling on this is only because of how bored I was reading book 2 and how most of the characters were in their own heads for the majority of the time. Seemed, with the exception of Tyrion, Dany, and to a degree Jon, things where just happening to the characters.

Regarding Jamie. Given that:

Spoiler:
His last scene in Season 1 was essentially his ONLY appearance in Book 2

I predict that:

Spoiler:
We will get some of his Book 3 arc in Season 2. I further predict that his last scene in Season 2 will be:
Spoiler:
Loss of hand -or- the "Skywalker Special"

Brienne is a fox!

I'd imagine she could administer quite the spanking.

I can't wait to see her next to some of the male actors. She's going to dwarf some of them I'm sure.

EDIT: just checked. She has about 5 inches in height on Renly and 4 inches on Loras.

^ Okay, if such is the case, I hope we actually see some war taking place, as in battles. I am close to finishing the second book and while I know it is not feasible to show everything, I truly hope they try to show a good portion of
Spoiler:
the battle for Kings Landing.
I don't want it to encompass Cersei and Sansa sitting in a hall making commenting on what they hear, or Tyrion getting knocked unconscious again. I just have the sinking feeling it will be like the ep. of South Park where Kenny leads a battle while guys comment as to how epic it is without ever showing anything.

It's an expensive show. Rome had to do that for some battle scenes because of the cost.

True, but those were mostly historic battles that have been portrayed time and again through other movies. Hell, they even skipped over Marc Anthony's speech at Caesar's funeral due to all of the times it has been played out in pop culture from Shakespeare. These are fictitious battles that we have never seen. I suppose there is the option for people to read the books (which I truly do encourage), but those who choose not to do such really miss out on some cool stuff.

Brienne looks great, Mel and Stannis don't look right. Isn't Mel supposed to be attractive? That lady in the photo isn't.

^ That's in the eye of the beholder. I think she looks okay, but I always envisioned Christina Hendricks, not the girl from Black Book. Basically, someone who looks like a buxom sorceress.
