I remember him from Snatch. He was Errol.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
Yeah I liked him from Snatch!

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
I was wondering about stuff like that. How they cast people for what appeared to be bit parts for season one, but then end up being fairly major players (at least for a point) later.

Interview with Weiss and Benioff
Nothing really groundbreaking but they do mention, that if they make it past this season, that book 3 will be more than 1 season. |

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
I know, I was thinking though if they split book into 2 seasons this will be a very long and probably expensive series. Here's to hoping they can finish it off and do it the right way.

GRRM dropped another clue.
Cage Match Pairings Pirate and Bully. Dead Man and Barman. Corporal and Potato. Gash and Nark. And let's all be grateful, the big dog didn't get bitten. |

Someone posted this on youtube. They're shooting the scene where Davos takes Melisandre to the spot under Storm's End. |
Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
Far too late, but I would have nominated Alison Pill (Queen Maude in Pillars of the Earth) for either Margery Tyrell or Jayne Westerling. Pill is only a few years younger than Natalie Dormer, but she still looks like a teen (baby face, petite). And she looked great in chain mail, robes, etc., so she definitely has the period look down. I liked Dormer in The Tudors, but she appears a bit old for the role.
Of course, actors are replaced (sometimes at the last minute or even after filming has begun...as was the case with Lady Cat Stark after the pilot was filmed). |

New clue from GRRM
Don't, Don't, Don't Elmo is a fibber and a drubber and a jock. He's whispered to horses and conversed with dogs. A diamond in the rough, he is, but no pinhead. |
Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
I was wrong
It's Anthony Morris, who I can't find a picture of, playing the Tickler |
Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
Fintan McKeown is Ser Amory Lorch
http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...0,214,314_.jpg Conan Stevens is still shooting The Hobbit and won't return so Ian Whyte is taking over the role of Ser Gregor Clegane (aka The Mountain) Whyte was actually in the pilot episode playing a white walker. http://ts1.mm.bing.net/images/thumbn...302_SY432_.jpg For those wondering, he's 7'1. I'm beginning to think we won't see any Tullys or the Reeds this season. The producers have talked about how much they love Natalia Tena so I could see them Spoiler:

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
Neil Marshall, who directed The Descent, signed on to direct 1 episode.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
^^^ Neil also directed "Centurion," a little-seen but bad-ass action flick that takes place in Roman times (think "Gladiator" on a shoe string budget but still spectacular). He's perfect for "GOT," hopefully they'll give him an action-packed episode to direct (it's what his movies excel at).

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
I'm bummed about the Mountain changing. :(

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
How much was Gregor in CoK? Hint: Not that much. They're doing weird things with the timelime and narrative here.
BTW: I'm up to A Feast of Crows finally  |

Random GoT related comment not related to casting (this being the only active GoT thread).
Noticed a friend of a facebook friend with a name that caught my eye: Daenerys Taragrin. I wonder how tired she is of hearing "Is that your real name?" |

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) Season 2: Casting, News
From a set report, sounds like there will be a slight change from the book at Harrenhal. I assume to give Charles Dance some more screen time.
