I can't believe that Time Warner is not amongst the participating cable companies! How much bigger do you have to be? Never heard of some of the others that were listed.

Re: HBO Go
Not sure if it's a glitch, but I downloaded the MaxGo app on my Droid X, and logged in using my directv account just to see if I could (I don't have a subscription to Cinemax), and am able to watch content on there. I'm guessing because it's owned by HBO?

HBO Go coming to home consoles
http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/xb...21132945404017
The battle for your eyeballs and leisure time is heating up on home consoles, as HBO has revealed plans to bring its all-you-can-watch HBO Go streaming service to connected TVs and video game systems.
Originally released as a browser-based extension of HBO's programming back in 2010 – and later as a mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices – HBO Go TV Everywhere allows paying HBO subscribers access every last morsel of HBO content online or on-the-go. CEO Jeff Bewkes announced HBO's plans to port the service to home consoles during an earnings call this morning, saying the entertainment company was inspired to offer HBO Go to non-mobile devices for the first time ever by the success of its iPhone/Android app, which has been downloaded more than 4 million times.
Bewkes did not offer a timeline as to when console owners can expect HBO Go, or if the service will finally be available to Canadians. When it does arrive, however, it will likely appear on PS3 and Xbox 360 dashboards similar to that of existing streaming content services like Netflix and Hulu Plus. A full breakdown of HBO Go in its current form can be read at the HBO site. Unless you're Canadian, in which case (again), you're not invited to the party.

As for the topic of this thread, the sooner HBOGo gets on my Xbox 360, the better. I would also love Maxgo as well.

Re: HBO Go
You mean the twist/cliffhanger? I thought it was cool. I don't want to talk about it in detail since it hasn't officially aired on TV yet, but it was very 24-like, though it was predictable.

I have Hulu Plus and that's how they do it for the 360, you sign in on the console with your user name and password.

Time Warner finally gets HBO GO:
Time Warner finally gets HBO GO:
Time Warner Cable customers who subscribe to HBO or Cinemax will soon get to use HBO GO and MAX GO, the premium cable networks’ instant-streaming services.
TWC announced the deal Friday night, saying subscribers will be able to access movies, documentaries, original series and more on any computer, iPad or other mobile devices.
On HBO GO, viewers will have access to 1,400 titles such as Game of Thrones, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos Sex and the City and Deadwood. They’ll also get to watch HBO original films, miniseries, sports, documentaries, specials and blockbuster theatricals. MAX GO offers 400 titles including movies, indies, cult favorites, the MAX After Dark series and primetime series.
Most new content uploads to both services as the content premieres on the networks. Viewers also will get the “Watchlist” that keeps track of bookmarked content for later viewing; bonus content including interviews, recaps and behind-the-scenes extras; and customizable views showing titles in slideshow, grid or list format.
Once the services launch, Time Warner Cable customers can access them at HBOGO.com or MAXGO.com using their TWC usernames and passwords.

Re: HBO Go
I'm wondering if some cable companies will block HBOGo on the consoles. Comcast and DirecTV don't support it on the Roku.

Re: HBO Go
Of course they will. It's simple. You're supposed to have HBO proper to have Go. Therefore you have HBO and HBO On Demand on the main tv. They don't want you to have HBOGo on anything but the teeny tiny screen of phones and tablets. You're dealing with dinosaurs.

Re: HBO Go
I'm not sure.
You can only get HBO from cable or the dish companies, I'm sure HBO won't create an Xbox app that's not supported by anyone. Will all the providers support it initially? Of course not, but I can see DirecTV and even Comcast doing it.

Re: HBO Go
You're not paying attention. We are talking about companies that have already blocked Go on Roku devices. I never claimed every company would block it. As long as Cox does, I'm golden and the rest of you can suck it
