Um, isn't Polar Industries Hugh's company? And wasn't Vlad who supposedly was the dispatch for Polar Industries with them on a run earlier in the season?

Without looking it up. I would say "YES" the name on the side of the truck say' Polar Industries and his name is the Polar bear. He is the owner of the trucks both of them and they have the same logo.

I like the show and I do watch it. I like the cartoons more then the show. Other then one major problem (You never tell anyone that you are moving high exp). Is both of them (Hugh and the blue hair guy)are so loud mouth and they are being filmed. How they talk does not bug me, how they drive does. They do not care for their load only getting it there. I cannot talk about anyone else but after watching both of them on TV (not talking about the bad words). I would not used them.

I do have to say I like Tony as a driver. I would give him my load to take from one place to the other. Dave, he can bitch all he wants as long as the load makes it. But then again I only watch him on TV. Everytime he is on he is bitching. The same girl is really there for eye candy, then again she was given a small truck and did not seem to care. Hay I was given a Truck.

My GF brother is a driver (not on the ice roads). He told me why the other drivers do not like them. They are doing things for TV that others would never do in life. He is paid by the mile not by the weight of the load. Lisa is just trying to get a sticker (whatever that means).

The History Channel did a show about a year before this. They talked about the truckers, the roads, etc. That could be why its there. Pawn Stars are the same thing. If you look you will see the store is not open fully when the top 4 are buying. They paid the people to come back and film them. Pickers samething. These guys did not know each other till a month before they started to film. The business was not a business till then.

I know this is a little long but who in there right mind would drive a truck over ice that is weighted 10,000-15,000 over max. Not once but twice and put it on TV. Alex now that is a driver. I would give him a job anytime.

Hugh and blue hair giving alex a hard time saying he's too slow
yet I don't remember Alex ever having parts break on his truck due to shaking or have his trailer become unusable

Dave seemed like a decent enough guy on Deadliest Roads but he's been a complete tool this whole season.

I was about to say the samething. He was the only reason to watch the show because you didn't know if he was going to flip-out.
By the way, IRT Deadliest Roads s2 starts this Sunday 9-25 at 10 pm on History Ch. Hugh Rowland,Rick Yemm and LIsa Kelly are going to be the drivers.

Re: Ice Road Truckers s5 (6-5-11)

I can completely see Dave's side in this. He comes in from the southern US and drives circles around these so-called "kings of the haul roads" but is perpetually harassed, and for what? Not showing respect? Respect for what? A truck driver who drives a truck? Why on earth should that amaze or impress him? All he was trying to do was drive a truck and make money instead of whatever the hell games it was the whiners wanted him to do instead. He came to know he needed to kiss ass if he wanted to keep driving there, but I think pretty early on he knew he had no interest in doing that. I seriously doubt he would ever have come back except maybe to be on TV again. His biggest mistake was in making an easy job look easy.

for IRT Deadliest Roads S2.
for Hugh Rowland being in it.

Re: Ice Road Truckers s5 (6-5-11)

Harassed? I guess I didn't see that. Hugh and Alex had to go through the driving tests and supervised ride along their first years there too. How hard is it to kiss ass for a couple of ride alongs and move on? He has to understand that just by being on the show the drivers up there aren't going to be his biggest fans so making enemies out of Tony and Maya didn't make much sense seeing as they were in the same boat he was.

Well we know Dave Redmon won't be back on the show ever after this. It's multiple parts and he totally unloads.
