Breaking: Chuck Gets Season 5 Pickup!
Great news!
Chuck Bartowski is turning out to be the luckiest spy in TV history.
Sources confirm to TVLine that Chuck has cheated death once again and will return for a fifth season this fall.
NBC declined to comment, but an insider tells TVLine that the Peacock is nearing a deal with producer Warner Bros. to bring the show back for at least 13 episodes.

Eh...this show has kind of run it's course, and the 13 episode pick up means they won't know what to do with the back 9 if they get it again. If it was going to be renewed I would rather them be locked into a certain number of episodes.

Nellie Andreeva also mentions it. 13 episode pickup. Now Chuck is truly the show that will not die.

After the blow from Fox yesterday this is great news.
Edit to add: I'd suggest everyone to make sure they visit http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/ whenever they break the news. That site makes for some funny reading with how many people there just bash on shows. The posters there seriously hate this show(and Fringe).

Sweet, honestly i'd be happy if they came with an arc to just close out the series for the 5th season rather then keep it going.

Sweet! Glad to hear it. I think that will give it the chance to get a little resolution quicker than wrapping it all up in one episode. (Not that I'll mind if they get a back 9 again next year.)

Yay! That would give it enough episodes for the 88-episode syndication package, which is fantastic news in itself.

I'm still a watcher but currently 4 episodes behind. It's not a show that I look forward to anymore, but I'm sure I'll keep watching it until the end. I was also ready for this to end.

I was just scanning what's on my DVR to watch and also have the latest 4 episodes. I can't pinpoint what the change was, but this used to be a show I really looked forward to. Now I'm just very meh about it.

I like to read that site for the daily ratings information, but rarely comment there. It can be an irritating site to read mainly because of all the ratings snobs who act like they are TV Executives. Alot of them proclaim death to a show just because they drop 0.1 or 0.2 in the 18-49 demos. I also hate how Bill and Robert (who run that site) create ridiculous sensationalized headlines about shows they think are dead. The Chuck and Fringe haters on that site are insane.

Great news! I'm a good number of episodes behind, but I hope this lets them close out the show properly. I agree the show has become a bit long in the tooth, but I still maintain that season 2 is one of the best seasons of tv out there.
