We saw a few weeks ago that Natalie doesn't have a problem selling out Ashley. Besides, as long as Grant and Phillip are on his side he doesn't need Natalie for that vote off.

That won't impact his game one bit. It won't make the slightest difference. If he wants to make the finals, winning immunity all the way out is his ONLY way. And if he makes it, he wins, regardless of this. I honestly believe he did it just because he felt it was right.

this was the lamest family reunion ever. Having someone already voted off to Redemption Island decide who gets a family visit. Lame. Getting people like Ralph's "friend" or Grant's brother-in-law, Rob's sister, Philip's sister, Matt's brother instead of Amber or Grant's wife? Who cares? This was a Fast Forward for me.

A blindside to Andrea but they have telegraphed her as the outsider of the 6 for a while and couldn't even come up with a decent fake out this was a routine boot if there ever was one.

Make note in the future Jeff is a hype and he even praises seasons like this and Fiji which are devoid of drama.

This season has been full of lemmings. Boring as hell and pretty much by the numbers. At this point Rob pretty much has it in the bag. The rest of the tribe are too stupid to turn the tables on him.

It's funny when the person Rob seems most concerned about is Phillip. "He's a good talker." Haha.

I don't think he's concerned about Phillip at all. They just needed to edit the show to make it a little less obvious who was going home. If he's concerned about anything regarding Phillip, it's that he's the least predictable of the remaining contestants.

Sure seems that way. Have to wonder a little if some of them are playing for higher position money rather than winning. I guess some think that if they do Rob's bidding & end up in the Final, anything can happen, even if they haven't done anything other than ride his coattails.

Andrea's post-vote comments were amusing. It's always a hoot when someone who has backstabbed others in the game just can't believe it when they get the boot. Saying she trusted "the relationships" she'd built with others to save her was really delusional. Hopefully, Grant isn't living under the same delusions. At this point (without a RI return twist), the Final Three are still slated to be Rob (who still has an idol he can use), Natalie, and Phillip. Grant & Ashley better do some quick calculating or become beasts in the immunity challenges.

The only thing that will save this season from having one of the most predictable outcomes ever is if his tribemates wake up (don't see Phil or Nat flipping at this point) or if the producers have an RI ace up their sleeve. One more vote and the RI & regular numbers will be even (at least until the next RI challenge).

Re: Survivor: Redemption Island -- May 4th, 2011

I got exhausted watching that challenge. That looked really tough.

And the reunions never cease to amaze me. How was that a hard decision? That's the obvious decision, with or without thinking what your messiah may want you to do. You're going to see your family in about 10 days anyway, for fucks sake. So what if you pass on the opportunity to see your family member. Make as many as happy as you can. And Ralph getting upset about it was all the more stupid -- he only had a friend visit him. Get over it.

And to Amber not being there.

I feel bad for Steve's family member...went all that way and didn't even get to see him.

I knew this Rob v. Russell season would be a total bust, but I never expected everyone to just sit back and let Rob walk away with it. Hopefully after this we will be done with him for good.

I hope so. What's frustrated me is that why hasn't anyone on his "tribe/cult" thought of the fact that only 2 people have a true shot at the money. Rob can't take them all with him. I can't believe none of them has tried to figure a way in that doesn't include Rob. They might as well just give him the million now. IMO none of the remaining people deserve it. They're all just sitting there waiting to be voted off.

I'd have kept it for myself. Its not going to change how those other people feel even a tiny bit so its a waste and I sure as shit wouldn't have given it to the people I'm competing against to get back into the game.

According to Probst, she was pregnant at the time.

Agreed. Rob was very fortunate to get the Ometepe tribe. If he was on Zapatera he would already be out of the game. I still don't see Rob winning this. I think Mike, Matt or Ralph will make it into the final 3 at the end and take the money.

"I've been trying for ten years to win Suhvivah...."

If Rob doesn't win, at least he'll hold an unbreakable record.

And he can expect to have a fifth chance at winning somewhere down the line. Or Jeff will adopt him, Ambuh, & the kids.

This was my thought as well. That confessional was the first time I really got a sense of self-awareness from Phillip. I would love it if he makes it to the end and causes us all to do a double-take by exhibiting totally different behavior. He could be the Jekyll and Hyde of Survivor.

God is such an asshole playing all these people against one another filling them with the false hope of Him helping them further in the game. What a jerk.

That would totally redeem the season...and go down as the greatest blindside in Survivor history.

If Phil were to win, his headdress would be enshrined in the Smithsonian.

I would actually love it if he's been faking all the time and then wins!
