I recall nothing of note about this episode, except Heather Morris danced her ass off in that last song.

So it was fine with me.

They seriously couldn't cut 15 minutes from that?

Like last week it wasn't horrible, but not very good either.

Once again I didn't quite grasp the after school special message of the week. Could someone clarify what's OK to change and what's not? Gay good, OCD bad. Big nose good, unless your fat and ugly. Fat and ugly good, if you're delusional like Lauren.

Re: Glee -- "Born This Way" -- 4/26/11 90 minute episode

A lot of speculation this show was going to be crap this week. After watching it, I determined that it was actually quite decent. Better than the last few episodes. It least it moved the storyline along and gave everyone something to do.
I don't understand the hate for Kurt. Is that he is gay or the way he is written. I find nothing offensive about it. Yeah Murphy is trying to make gays more accepted in TV since there is so much hate in the real world.
Good to see Kathleen Quinlan too.

Hated last week's episode, liked this episode.

I didn't mind Kurt's Sunset Boulevard song. A little long, sure, and lame to have it the only thing between commercials, but thematically appropriate.

I was amused and actually moved by the T-shirts.

Yes, I'll agree, this episode wasn't that bad. I will say the musical numbers, for the most part, stunk. I've never skipped any musical number in any episode... I skipped all but two tonight. But the plot, which I was concerned with? Wasn't bad at all.

You like every episode of this show and seem predisposed towards liking Kurt simply because he is gay.

is that last number online to view anywhere?

didn't like the ep as a whole but i was waiting for the Gaga song and wouldn't you believe it...fell asleep at 9:22!!! i only know this because i remember seeing the time (think it was a commercial at that exact time), then must have closed my eyes for a second and woke up about 2 hours later. and of course turned the DVR recording off bc i was trying to see it live in between Yankee game.

thanks.

I'm not a fan of that Gaga song at all, but the performance actually was my favorite of this episode. Otherwise the episode was just sort of blah for me. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, and I was glad some stuff moved forward, but I just don't know if I enjoy tuning in anymore. I hope they are done with the bully storyline, although I do hope to see some more beret action. I'll still tune in next week, but I hope they focus more on the comedic aspects for a while.

I was disappointed...no steel drums during the song in the quad?!

I think the people who don't care much for or hate Kurt, don't like the way he is written. I think Murphy has dragged out Kurt too much and sometimes Kurt is written as too whiny.

Re: Glee -- "Born This Way" -- 4/26/11 90 minute episode

I skipped through every song except The Warblers...and Barbara Streisand.

I laughed my ass off when The Warblers came out and started to sing, and some random guy pushed his friend with a Guitar and was like "Dude, it's happening!!!!". All of the sudden we had drums and a piano in the quad.

Can someone explain to me that Barbara Streisand song? It was just a bunch of beats and BARBARA STREISAND being said. And somehow that got Rachel to want to keep her nose?

I was laughing at that too. Such a weird song.

Not through it yet but Santana's speech at the beginning about Artie wanting to cut his legs off because he doesn't use them and Rachel needing her enormous beak to break hard seeds had me dying. That is the reason I watch this show. Has some legitimately funny characters and lines.

I assume it was some sort of gay/Jewish Morse code.

Hope this isn't the end of the Warblers. All of their numbers are among the better ones on the show.

Thought this was a really good episode. Had the fun from season one and didn't beat us over the head with the bully being gay, Santana being Lebanese, or any of the season two staples.

Re: Glee -- "Born This Way" -- 4/26/11 90 minute episode

I read an article for the launch of the "Glee presents the Warblers" album profiling the Tuft's Beelzebubs, the group that arranges and does background for the Warbler numbers. The article described the album as a send off for The Warblers and said the members of the Bubs felt their time on the show was coming to a close, even though they weren't privy to future plans of the show. Hopefully we'll see them next year at the regionals or what ever.

The best shirts were Brittany and Puck's "I'm with Stoopid" with up and down arrows respectively...

Listening to it again this morning, I really like the I Feel Pretty/Unpretty mash-up. Quinn and Rachel should sing together more.

The Lebanese shirt was also good since it came from Brittany.

Honestly, This was kind of a crappy hour long episode.. it was a 90 minute episode, but it felt like the same show length with a bunch more commericals.

We actually looked at our clocks, because this episode dragged so slowly.

The I Feel Pretty kind of came out of nowhere. I wonder if Dianna Agron doesn't want to sing with Lea because she's so small and light in comparison, but it really worked here.

not sure either what the message was either, that maybe regardless of Barbara's nose, she never altered it.

as for the song, it's a rather funny, infectious song by Duck Sauce (aka A-Trak and Armand Van Helden) - but that's sooo 2010
