Yes, the events in the movie take place between season 5 and season 6, so watch it after season 5.

Huh? It's an X-Files classic.

People can't have a different opinion?

7 "The Walk" Rob Bowman John Shiban November 10, 1995 3X07 15.91[7]

Okay episode. The actor playing Rappo seemed to be overacting a bit much. I got a little sick during the opening scene.

8 "Oubliette" Kim Manners Charles Grant Craig November 17, 1995 3X08 15.90[7]

Great episode! Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. :( at the end.

9 "Nisei"* David Nutter Chris Carter & Howard Gordon & Frank Spotnitz November 24, 1995 3X09 16.36[7]
10 "731"* Rob Bowman Frank Spotnitz December 1, 1995 3X10 17.68[7]

The two parter Train episode. After watching these two episodes I like this show more than Lost. They handle the mythologies and mysteries better than Lost ever did. Even though there are now more questions they do a lot better answering those questions that have been building for nearly three seasons.

Also just read Duchovney did his own stunts which included jumping on a moving train. Cool stuff.

You will regret saying this in later seasons. I'm not sure Chris Carter himself could explain the mythology after the show ended, which is why the second movie completely ignores all of it.

So I think you already watch "Home" (the Peakcock Family episode)? One of the best episodes. So heavy and cruel. I love it.

And you know, this is a show that I kept up on, up till the last season. I completely lost interest around the time Robert Patrick came in.

My wife & I are on Season 7, we find it just as entertaining as we always have. Those of you who gave up on X-Files after Season 5 are missing out, too bad you've already made up your minds about later seasons. -kd5-

There are still some good episodes in the latter seasons, the show is just not as consistently great and it loses Mulder for long stretches at a time.

11 "Revelations" David Nutter Kim Newton December 15, 1995 3X11 15.25[7]

At first i was  to see R. Lee Ermey Guest Starring on X-Files. But then i was  when they killed him in the cold opening. I liked this episode since we get to see Mulder and Skully's different beliefs clash together.

12 "War of the Coprophages" Kim Manners Darin Morgan January 5, 1996 3X12 16.32[7]

This episode felt really off. The phone convos between Mulder and Skully felt forced. The constant drug references was really weird. Skully's jealously when she hears Mulder is working with a women names Bambi  it all felt like the writer never watched an X-files ep. But Bambi

Also neat breaking the fourth wall with the Cockroach crawling on my screen. I had to do a double take. A true mind fuck moment.

Yeah that roach crawling on the screen freaks me out every single time.

I think that's Darin Morgan's influnce. All his episodes were brilliant, but whenever the rest of the people on the show would get one of his scripts, they would always suspect that he was trying to destroy the show in a single episode. He'd poke at all the assumed premises of the show itself.

Porn star Ashley Gere was in "Blood" on Season 2. She didn't last long on that episode.

If anyone gets that YouToo channel, they just played Little Green Men (Season 2 opening episode) this past week and are moving along chronologically.

If you do tune in, make sure you avoid the "Social TV" versions of the episodes....they're hosted by Dean Hagland (Langly from the Lone Gunmen) but it's a total beating because they play videos that viewers send in of themselves in response to dumb topics barely related to the subject of the episode. Impossible to watch.

Her name is Bobbie Phillips. You can see more of her :eyebrow: in Showgirls and The Hustle.

Just finishing up rewatching season one. It's been just as great as the last time I watched it. I remember back in like the summer of 2004, I watched the whole series in just a few months. There is no way I could watch it that fast again, but I hope to have it finished before the end of the year. Almost every episode of season one is a hit for me, I really couldn't even pick a favorite, or make a top episode list. I have the last four episodes to watch. Looking to finish them by the end of the week.

I really love the feel of early X-Files, being set while the internet was still in its infancy. People were still putting out physical newsletters instead of posting to LJ or Twitter, they have to dig through dusty file cabinets to find information, and photographs and videotapes/films of UFOs still had a sort of mystique before (obvious) fakes started flooding youtube and websites.
