Damn, this show made me miss Chicago so much. The actual episode wasn't anything special, but the fact that it's shot on location will keep me watching for a while.

Also, they need to drop that narration. It was so hammy.

Shawn Ryan said on twitter that the narration will stick around but there will be less of it.

I want to see episodes shot during the winter. Chicago is so gritty during the winter... Running Scared with Billy Crystal seemed to capture the Chicago winter atmosphere really well. Should work great for this show.

The begining of CHEECH & CHONG'S THINGS ARE TOUGH ALL OVER has that feel to it also.

Check out Shameless on Showtime.

Finally got around to watching this...really enjoyed it. Didn't mind the voice overs either.

Good episode. I really enjoyed it. It won't replace Terriers but it takes a little of the sting away.

I enjoyed the episode. Not amazing but good enough that, in conjunction with the Chicago scenery I will keep watching.

However the on location shooting can also be a distraction. For instance, the first gang shooting (with the body in the street) looked to be filmed at Southport and Lincoln. Hardly gangland USA.

I'm pretty sure part of this show was filmed right outside my apartment in Wicker Park, so I look forward to seeing what goes down.

It feels more like The Unit than The Shield to me, but I'll give it time. Terriers wasn't mind blowing from episode one, either.
