Because the acting is below par.

I didn't care for The Avengers (hated the film, but loved the original television series). I just don't understand why the Weather Channel would show movies to begin with, regardless of content. They should just stick to LIVE weather coverage and leave the movies to USA, TBS, TNT, etc.

What's next? If Miley Cyrus can smoke a bong and be a role model to little girls at the same time, would Disney executives allow Dazed And Confused to be aired on the Disney Channel? Yeah, that makes sense.

I'm no Miley apologist, but that said...

Miley's done with Hannah Montana, and Disney is doing nothing other than airing out the episodes (if they haven't finished). I don't in any way hold Disney responsible for her recent actions, nor do I think she's doing anything the vast majority of teens her age haven't done. Role models should be better? Well, then parents need to get better role models. I don't think she ever signed up for the job, and lazy parents can't force the responsibility on her.

As for the weather channel airing movies, it'd be nice if there were stations that would just provide a service without profit being an overriding motive, but that train left the station a long time ago. If we didn't know it when news became a profit center, then we just weren't paying attention.

Is the Playboy Channel still around? Wonder what they're showing now?

I remember getting something in the mail from the cable company trying to get me to subscribe, saying something like "Announcing The Golf Channel! The greatest thing ever!" I laughed as of course I'd never watch golf, but what was even funnier was that in small print it said "MuchMusic has been discontinued to make room for The Golf Channel". I might have actually subscribed to get MuchMusic!

I just have to laugh at the posts of people in this thread that post "I'd never watch golf", but have no problem spending their time reading threads and posting in threads relating to The Golf Channel.
