Annual list of Oprah's favorite things given to everyone in the studio audience. I would love the cruise and the big screen TV. However, I don't know if I'm jealous because I didn't get any of it or if I'm simply disgusted by the greedy reactions which lasted for the entire hour.
Reactions:
"This year, for Oprah's Ultimate Favorite Things, the queen of daytime surprised her audience with a Black Eyed Peas performance, a 7-day cruise on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas ship, a $2,475 Philip Stein watch, a 52-inch Sony Bravia 3-D TV and more."
Full list of stuff:

Part Two is Monday!
I LOVE watching the audience reaction... it is always priceless. SNL did a sketch a few years ago: GOLD.

Heck yes, it's a veritable orgy of frantic, almost violent, greed.Originally Posted by Septemberbaby

When grown adults started to wet themselves over free Netflix I threw up a little bit in my mouth. Would have loved to be in the audience to get a ton of useless, expensive crap I could sell and use $ for things I actually need (mortgage, car payment, food...and something more practical than a diamond watch I 'd never wear).

Yeah, I can picture myself sporting a diamond fucking watch over a plate of nachos at Applebees. I'd sell that junk quicker than hell. The screaming and jumping? That's what I'd be doing in the pawn shop when I got my cash.

what?! You mean you don't want to live the rapper dream of owning a watch that's turned into a tacky piece of gaudy jewelry?!Originally Posted by Charlie Goose

I mean come on, why own a nice 3k level watch when you can own a $500 watch with 2k+ worth of bedazzling!! I wonder what one would even get off a pawn of that thing? Couple hundred maybe? It's not really an easy flip "name" like say a Rolex for the pawn shop..
anyways, IMO that show's gift eps is just another example of crowd mentality. I think everyone goes crazy being a few others are going crazy, plus it's also a show filled with fat house wives who feel they are at a dead end point in their life. So they are going to be extra hyped up over getting fistfuls of stuff their husband would never buy for them.
To be fair, I've seen grown men go crazy in a crowd over meeting some other grown man who just happens to be some pro athlete. That's just as pathetic, maybe even a tad more so..

After the people pay all the taxes on the "gifts" they may find that some of these things are just expensive crap.

Part 2 Aired yesterday.
Another audience appeared after the audience got all the loot on Friday. One lady was bitching because she felt robbed then Oprah picked up an ornament and the fake snow started falling again.
Oprah gave away an Ipad first followed by sequined Ugg boats, chicken pie, etc. But the piece de resistance was a 2012 VW Beetle for everyone in the audience.

as much as i despise oprah, my wife's company has been featured on this show quite a few times, and their sales skyrocket as a result.
