The Good Guys -- "The Getaway" -- 11/12/10

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Jack and Liz leave town for a romantic weekend away at a bed and breakfast, but the fire is short-lived when Jack instantly becomes suspicious of the owner's (guest star Michael Weston) strange curiosity. Things heat up again, however, when Dan rushes out to the once-quiet B&B after learning about Jack's extracurricular investigation.

Episode 17 of 20

We're in the home stretch for this show. I'm glad it will at least finish it's season.

Good episode, but that's to be expected. I like how they got the recommendation for the bed and breakfast from Julius and that didn't immediately strike them as odd.

What was with Liz just falling asleep out of nowhere though? That was really weird.

Also, can someone explain how Jack and Dan didn't win the "bust" tally? If they were only one behind Hodges, the attempted murder would put them at a tie. Then if Hodges got credit for the bank robbers because it was his case, why didn't Jack and Dan get credit for the graffiti guy? Was that not their case?

I'm glad FOX is at least airing the whole season. I really hope we get the first (and probably only) season on DVD and/or Blu-ray though.

Hilarious, as usual. I loved Dan tackling the guy across the breakfast table.

She had too much too drink at dinner.

I didn't get it, either. Like you said, Jack and Dan should have gotten credit for the graffiti case. They also should get credit for the attempted murder and the B&B guy's assault on Dan. Jack and Dan should have won.

Finally watching this online today. Just got past the bedroom scene where Dan is hiding in the closet. I also did not get Liz falling asleep. As good as she looked, I would not have given her the opportunity to fall asleep. Dan of course is hilarious as usual.....sexatunity? And...where am I going to sleep? Great show so far as usual....

What happened to Liz's vehicle? Dan and Liz took Jack's car back and he went with the wife. Wish Liz hadnt fallen asleep so quickly so we could have seen more of her in that outfit.

I simply do not get it....how the hell is this show not able to maintain a respectable viewership with some of the crap shows on this season?

Well, if FOX would have kept this a summer show, then maybe it would have a chance to return a 2nd season. But, putting it on Friday nights for it's Fall airings where viewership is already low was the kiss of death. The only network that seems to do well with scripted shows on Friday's is CBS. FOX really is only competitive on Sunday-Wednesday.

The above article indicated October 22 would most likely be the last air date so maybe there is a glimmer of hope.

Hodges got credit for the bank robbers since it was his case and credit for the taggers since he and his partner were the ones that stopped them. At the end, we see Hodges and his partner with spray paint on. Of course, that ignores the fact that Jack and Dan were the one originally on the tagger case, unless I'm forgetting something.

Even if we give Hodges credit for the bank robbers that Jack and Dan stopped, then when Hodges and his partner stopped the tagger, Jack and Dan should've gotten credit. Doesn't make sense, but whatever, it's not a huge deal.
