It’ll be different with no band but from how it sounds he’s going to be on location more doing skits/interviews. I can sort of see where the band doesn’t fit the new format.

It is a whole new format. It’s down to 22 minutes. I’d imagine his whole business is getting restructured.
Conan behind the scenes bits always made it look like he keeps his business lean and thrifty. Good business sense. I wonder how Max Weinberg is doing. |

Anyone watching the new format? I thought it would be more pre-recorded bits, but it seems to just be a condensed version of his old show.
I can understand he's trying to be less formal, but the denim jacket every night drives me crazy. |

The 2019 Comic-Con episodes premiere next week and they will be 1 hour episodes.

I watch him. Seems like one or two of his best writers stayed in NYC and work on Colbert now. It doesn’t quite capture the best era of Conan during his time in NYC. But it’s still enjoyable. The way way I watch is I watch all of his clips on YouTube. |
