Last night was great with the reaction to the Gravy Boat Lighthouse commercial and then the recorded names bit with Andy and the banter with the iris-out effect! Classic Conan for sure!

Last night was a pretty great episode in my opinion. Good mix of bits and the interviews were fun too. Bob Saget is a strange man but gotta love him :lol: set my DVR to record his new series to see what its like.

The sock puppet girl on that episode....seems like the Late night wars have really brought out all the Conan fans.

Asian chicks really seem to dig Conan...there was the red beard girl in an earlier episode...

I am also liking Andy now. On the Tonight show he was a bit annoying, but now, he has been given a more prominent role, and it is suiting him.

I loved Spacey's cameo last night for the F Bomb Hall of Fame.

I went to a Conan taping the other week (the episode with some guy from Glee :down: and Stephen Merchant :up). A lot of fun, but you spend like 3 hours just standing around waiting or walking to get to the studio where they film.

Conan's facial expressions when Rossum was describing them made the interview. It was a great combo of curiosity and wtf. Andy chiming in about it being a modified tube sock was hilarious.

Andy is very creative and quick. His comment about the view not being great for the floor with respect to Kirstie Alley had me rotfl even though i dont approve of fat Kistrie jokes.

Nope :(. Basically the process was show up early around 1 - 1:30 PM to get a number which determines the order which you get to sit. At that point, you can do whatever you want until you line up at 3 PM. Then you spend an hour waiting in line, walking across the street to the stage, and getting seated.

They had the band play a few songs before the show, and a guy run through the basic rules and warnings as well as make some decent jokes and introduce Andy. The show is really well run, not many edits on the actual broadcast for that taping. Conan does sing the end of the show song before leaving and did walk up to hug some people in the crowd that had a sign, but that was the only interaction I saw.

Finland week stream shows were great :) Be it Emmie Rossum interview, Angry Bird or Chelsea Handler making fun of Conan :).

And there was one day the week before on Mattew Perry's interview when Conan's hair was really tall.

The monologue writers are doing a bad job at jokes though. Pretty bad jokes.

It's people like you who take him seriously that he's making fun of. He said it himself in one of his monologues "I don't know why I make fun of these people, they saved my ass" or something similar to that. So clearly it's just in fun. Don't take it personal.

Also the Will Ferrell threats to chop his beard off have been pretty funny :lol:

I'll probably watch the Will Ferrel one, but I've stopped watching every night. It's just not as good as the Tonight Show, and especially Late Night.

The jokes every night are just rehashes of that Monday's jokes. I know you can say that about every late night talk show, but it seems more prevalent on Conan to me.

I think it's a lot better than his The Tonight Show run personally. It's not as good as Late Night maybe, but I still really like it.
