Much better episode this week.
Not sure how I feel about Luke and Becky getting all cozy again.
It didn't take long for that compromising position I mentioned last week between and Becky and Billy to pop up. I hope that's the end of that. In the end it seems Billy and the wife (well.. more the wife) is going to take the "parental" role more seriously.
Oh Julie, what are you getting yourself into?

I'm hope that's the extent of the "compromising situation". I was shocked to see the wife take on the parental role at the end. I was expecting (and I guess it would of been kinda cliche) her to kick Beck out. Nicely done.Originally Posted by Septemberbaby

at all the apathetic teachers. The Julie storyline is lame - too soap opera. I didn't think we'd be seeing much of her character after the first episode.

"I think it's kind of demeaning for her to put her panties in my boyfriends locker."
"Its just part of Texas football."

Finally got to this late last night.
at Jess for getting into a fight with that Red head rally girl hitting on Vince and getting shit faced.
Is it just me or is Julie easily smitten with every guy who shows even one ounce of interest in her? She was in a 3+ year relationship with Matt, then they break up and I remember last season she had a crush on the dude from Hellcats and now this TA?? C'Mon Julie!
Surprised that noone mentioned this, but the timing of this episode was rather convenient. These episodes were shot back in the Spring and I found it really interesting with the NFL's crackdown and fines recently on James Harrison, Dunta Harrison for dangerous hits that this episode focused on the same topic with Luke.
That just sucks for Tami being the only educator who really gives a shit.
Michael B. Jordan has been solid this season. I enjoyed his scenes with Jess and the scene with his Mom about all his college options was touching.

This episode was shot months ago, so the timing of the hard hits is totally coincidental to the uproar in the NFL from a few weeks ago.
I'm so tired of the "girl is attracted to the teacher" subplot. It's at least the 3 show that has featured such a subplot.

Yup, Pretty Little Liars, Life Unexpected and now this. I guess they need some material to keep Aimee Teegarden involved with the show.Originally Posted by Patman

In case anyone cares (who did not already watch this on DTV or through other means months ago), this was the FNL episode that aired on NBC Friday 4/22
Remember, the entire season is already out on DVD if you don't want to watch week to week. I picked up my copy the week it came out and already re-watched the series finale w/audio commentary and all the bonus material.

Luke's hit was illegal. He launched himself like a missile.
You would think that Julie would have had enough with teachers after her John from Cincinnati experience in season 2. Apparently she's not that good at making friends though.

FYI,
If your watching Friday Night Lights off NBC on Demand on your cable system, Don't watch the episode 2 (this thread) that was posted. Apparently they screwed up and posted episode 8 by mistake.

I was thinking the same thing, it wasn't helmet to helmet but it was certainly irresponsible to launch yourself like that.Originally Posted by mwbmis
