I have a new idea on how they might have Michael leave the show. I'm almost 100% sure they wouldn't go this route but I'll spoiler it just in case.
Spoiler:
Michael is a victim of the Scranton Strangler. They've certainly kept the strangler a continuing running joke, but will there be a pay off to it? I could see Ricky Gervais doing something like this but don't think they would ever do this in America.

Another strong episode for this season. They seem to be back to their S1-3 roots which is great to see.

I haven't laughed that hard at a Creed moment since he peeled out of the office after the Murder game.

Spoiler:
The Scranton Strangler will be discovered to be Holly's boyfriend, thus free-ing her up to come back to Michael. That's right. Ya heard it here first.

"Best. Edward James Olmos costume." and "To my chickens, I am the Scranton Strangler" were the lines of the night.

It seems like they are purposely throwing us for a loop. I think they won't reveal the replacement until the finale.
