Re: South Park -- "Coon 2: Hindsight" -- 10/27/10

The whole conversation between Cartman and Mintberry Crunch had me cracking up.

"I get that you're half-man, half-berry, and that you're crunchy with some mint... I'm just wondering if maybe you need to add something else to the Mintberry Crunch part of your costume?"

"Like milk?"

Good episode - best of the season to date. at the bake sale idea and Cartman's reaction to it.

glad to know i wasn't the only one trying to figure out who Kenny was.

The DP stuff was brilliant.

I was also trying to figure out the characters. I thought Clyde was Mysterion, Kyle was The Mosquito, and Kenny was Mintberry Crunch. But I guess Kenny could have been Kite Boy.

Yeah, that was what I came down to as well. There's no real way of knowing who Kite Boy was because I don't think he ever talked. Mint Berry Crunch made more sense to me as Kenny for the reasons I pointed out earlier.

I thought Kenny was Kite Boy because they showed Kenny sneaking out of the house then they showed Kite Boy. Plus it's probably the cheapest costume, plus he didn't talk.

you said Mint Berry Crunch made more sense as Kenny but since he talked, I don't think it was him. that was my point.

I also thought Kenny was Kite Boy, since he was the first one in the door after they showed him leaving his house. Kyle was clearly The Mosquito just based on how he was always butting in on The Coon's plans and trying to be a goody-goody (and the voices being identical).

Here's two pictures of Kenny without his hood. Note the blond hair and lack of eyebrows.

And here's a picture from the episode. Notice how Kite Boy has eyebrows, but Mint Berry Crunch does not. Also notice that Mint Berry Crunch has blond hair and is the only one drinking water (an indication that he is too poor to afford a milkshake?).

Human Kite had, I seem to recall, one line, and he sounded exactly like Kyle. I had sort of figured Kyle was Mosquito up until that point.

The sight gag of the final drilling plan was very naughty.

When they were talking about drilling on the moon, I expected them to say that they were "gonna plug that bitch up airtight."

I loved the DP of the earth and then when the CEO drew the third drill in the moon how the whole thing looked like a woman getting three at once.

The Coon is awesome!

Re: South Park -- "Coon 2: Hindsight" -- 10/27/10

Holy shit the DP part had me CRACKING up. Might be the funniest thing I've seen in years on South Park (which is really saying something) and the the bit with the moon taking it one step further and then unleashing Cthulhu. Hilarious!

Best episode of the season for me.

Someone mentioned Tom Cruise on the moon. I saw the whale and remember that episode but was Cruise there as well? If so why? I don't remember an episode that sent him to the moon.

Re: South Park -- "Coon 2: Hindsight" -- 10/27/10

for me. I just never got into the episode. There were a couple of good gags but the main jokes just seem to bet he same thing over and over, like the DP spots, Captain Hindsight and Cartman's behavior. They just seemed to grind out without developing anything new.

I think the ep might have played better if Captain Hindsight was Obama, or at least they hinted that he was, as a play on the admin's off-shore drilling position before and after the Gulf spill.
