Ausiello at EW.com is reporting that Chuck is close to getting the back 9. |
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
That's good, we're almost half way through and nothing has really happened regarding his Mom at all.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
I wonder (hope?) if they were waiting to find out before they pushed forward with the meat of anything. Last year and the 13 episodes indicates no, but that might have been because they knew they weren't on in the Fall so they had not cushion.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Liked what they did tonight. They brought out Morgan as the goofy guy that succeeds in spite of himself.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
decent episode, glad they didn't have Chuck whining about his relationship status again.
|
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
It was good to get a break from the relationship drama
The Casey and Morgan scenes were funny |
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
This was pre-empted by a political debate here in MI... luckily my DVR caught it at 1:35am last night.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Best episode of the season so far. Any time Casey has to interact with the Buy Morons, it's comedy gold. Too bad he was unconscious through the entire Jeffster sequence.
At this point it seems that Morgan has become what Chuck used to be -- the bumbling outsider who manages to save the day in spite of himself. |

Jeff is great. "We wake up in the best dumpsters."

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Verdict is in from NBC. Apparently they couldn't just order 9 additional episodes of the show...
They ordered 11 instead! :) |
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
awesome news!!
|
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Perhaps we'll get a fifth and final season of 22 episodes to get the show to 100 eps.

Some visual confirmation for all of you. Chuck got the back 11. 24 episode season. |

Wow! Great news!

I liked the tone/character interaction in this episode. However, this season feels so ... linear. Each week we get one more coincidence that ties to Volkov.

Anyone else catch the name on one of the lockers when the bad guy was checking to see which apartment was Casey's?

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Good to hear the full season news, because this episode did next to nothing for me. I got a chuckle out of the A-Team bit and a laugh out of Morgan waking Casey up. Other than that it was one of the more forgettable episodes.
Here's hoping they have a plan for 22 that ramps up! |

This is the best episode of the year so far. Yet it was still mediocre...

Agreed. In spite of some of the negativity this week, I thought this was the best episode of the year thus far. I think the lack of relationship stuff was big. Not to mention lots of Casey; always good!
I liked Morgans gulp before he told Casey that Alex migh be spending the night :D This 4th season order is terrific news  (Though I wish there wasnt a 24 episode season, the episodes are really good if they dont have to be stretched out. 20-22 episodes would have been better.) |
Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
Nice episode, and it was good to have a bit less of Chuck. Usually not a fan of Morgan, but he was fine in this episode.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock" -- 10/18/10
I hate to be negative on this show, since I've enjoyed it so much, but has anybody noticed "dumb" music creeping in? It usually accompanies a Chuck scene where he's saying something off kilter. The problem - in part - is that the music starts before the scene fully develops so you know where it's going.
The other part to this is Chuck saying such things that he normally wouldn't. Before he might try and make a joke that didn't work out, but he'd realize it and go very deadpan serious look on his face, of course he'd then try and segway into something else. An old example was when John Larroquette tried to get them to kiss. Chuck came up with the burrito excuse, but then when pushed to shove it turned serious. Now he saying/alludes to things such as him and Sarah getting it on in the service closet. Maybe it's nothing, but it comes off to me as very out of character when put in contrast to scene fountain/courtyard scenes. |
