Re: Dexter -- "Practically Perfect" -- 10/10/10

Well, Season 3 was initially built off of him killing the wrong person who was more or less an innocent. Season 4 he killed the wrong guy (the photographer) and didn't really seem to get that torn up about it. This season, the guy in the bathroom.

Granted, they were all mostly shady characters, but they've really downplayed the aftereffects of it more and more each time. Compared to him sparing Doakes despite him REALLY posing a huge threat, it's a theme of the show that's been glossed over.

Guess it wouldn't make for good TV if Dexter just turned himself in.

It's getting easier for him. You can see a definite pattern to his behavior, and how he's slowly been compromising Harry's code over the years.

Season 4, where he killed the photographer was really the only time he broke the code by not preparing for the kill properly.

Oscar Prado in season 3 was actually self defense. Season 5 was more out of rage.

He was pretty torn up about the kill in season 4. But he really shows no remorse because he doesn't feel that way about people.

Wow, after watching this week's show and seeing what's coming up next week - this season is looking pretty good!

Liked the ending but the whole Quinn thing is getting really old.

I'm liking this season a lot so far..

I really wish they would get rid of Quinn too.. He is so damned annoying and they already went this route with Dokes..

She's been scary thin since the first episode.

Yeah she looks exactly the same to me. One of the ironies is that apparently in the Dexter books Deb is described as being sort of a busty bombshell type body. They definitely went 180 degrees with Jennifer Carpenter playing Deb (not that it's a bad thing).
